摘要： A water-ski locator device is comprised of a buoyant body fixed in position on the top surface of the water-ski's toe piece by a number of straps. So positioned, the buoyant body does not create water drag while the ski is in use. The device is also particularly adapted to restore the body uppermost over the ski and to visibly project above the water's surface in the event the ski becomes detached, or is purposely left by the skier, and comes to rest in an upside down orientation, i.e., if the ski initially comes to rest, as a water-ski is otherwise often inclined to do, with its bottom surface floating on the water and its shoe piece facing downward.

摘要： An adjusting device for a ski-binding is used to adapt the binding to the different sizes of the ski-boots, for example to adjust a heel locking device, or a release plate or a pair of sole holding jaws. The device comprises two parts which are adjustable one relative to the other. One of these parts has one or two plug members which are guided in smooth bores of the other part. The plug members are provided with a threaded portion engaging a screwnut which is maintained against displacement longitudinally of the plug member in a recess provided in said other part. Adjustment between said two parts is effected either by turning the plug member engaging the stationary nut or by turning the nut to displace the plug member.

摘要： A release setting indicating device for use in a ski safety binding which utilizes two concentric coil springs to preload the release mechanism. The inner and outer coil springs are respectively associated with the sideways and upward release mechanisms of a diagonal release binding and are provided with independently adjustable abutments at their ends remote from the sole clamp. A tube surrounds the inner coil spring with a certain degree of sideways clearance and has a projection which extends towards the sole clamp beyond the end of the outer coil spring. This projection carries an indicator member which is visible through a window provided in the binding housing. The tube is connected via a radially inwardly directed flange to the inner coil spring via the adjustable abutment so that the indicator member is axially displaced to show the release setting of the spring on adjustment of the abutment. The projection is conveniently a sliding fit in a recess in the housing and simultaneously prevents torque being applied to the inner coil spring from its associated adjustable abutment. An indicating device is also provided for the outer coil spring and comprises a second window in the binding housing through which the position of the adjustable abutment associated with the outer coil spring can be viewed.

As a direct acting indicator for a safety ski binding a leaf spring is fixed at one end within a binding component and its other end is constrained for movement in a straight line aligned with, or at least parallel with, the direction of an applied force but is free to move along such line. Different embodiments disclosed show different possible specific arrangements of indicator spring.
