摘要： An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: an ear tip detachable from the electronic device; a microphone; a speaker; a sensor module comprising at least one sensor configured to sense information of the electronic device; memory storing a leaking sound profile representing the relationship between the magnitude of a signal leaking out of an object on which the electronic device is mounted among signals being output from the electronic device, and the frequency of the signals being output; and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, operatively connected with the microphone, the speaker, and the memory. At least one processor, individually and/or collectively, may be configured to: output first signals using the speaker; use the microphone to receive a second signal leaking out of the object on which the electronic device is mounted among the first signals; obtain signal characteristics representing the relationship between a magnitude of the second signal and the frequency of the second signal; determine, based on the information obtained from the sensor module, the leaking sound profile, and the comparison result of the signal characteristics, whether the electronic device is properly mounted and whether the ear tip has been properly selected; provide a mounting guide for the electronic device in response to determining that the electronic device is not properly mounted; and provide an ear tip selection guide in response to determining that the ear tip is not properly mounted.

摘要： An earpiece includes a housing including a sound output channel operatively coupled to a speaker formed within the housing. An ear canal feedback channel is formed extending alongside the sound output channel and operatively coupled to a microphone formed within the housing and a DSP operatively coupled to the microphone, the DSP including a voice activity detection module to detect a microphone audio data stream and discern between host audio data stream of audio played by the speaker and external ear canal noise captured in the microphone audio data stream at the microphone at the ear canal feedback channel. An audio processor receives the detected external ear canal noise and generate audio data descriptive of an opposite waveform to the detected external ear canal noise to playback and reduce the detected external ear canal noise.

摘要： In-ear sound pressure level, SPL, is determined that is caused by output audio being converted into sound by a headset worn by a user. The in-ear SPL is converted into a sound sample having units that are suitable for evaluating sound noise exposure. These operations are repeated to produce a sequence of sound samples during playback. This sequence of sound samples is then written to a secure database. Access to the database is authorized by the user. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

摘要： A power-saving earphone includes a casing, an audio member, a sensing member, and an elastic soft sheath. The casing has first and second grounding paths provided separately. The audio member is disposed in the casing and includes a processing unit electrically connected with the first grounding path. The sensing member includes a controlling unit electrically connected with the second grounding path. The elastic soft sheath is disposed on the casing and capable of being elastically deformed by an external force. When the elastic soft sheath is not deformed, the first and second grounding paths form an open circuit. When the elastic soft sheath is elastically deformed by the external force, the elastic soft sheath electrically connects the first and second grounding paths, enabling the sensing member to function.

摘要： An in-ear noise dosimeter in the form of an earplug which senses sound in the ear canal using an eartip which has a sound delivery channel that couples sound at the end closest to the eardrum to an earplug microphone. The earplug can communicate wirelessly with a remote data collection and processing system. A dock unit for storing the earplugs when not worn can compensate for differences in unoccluded-ear versus occluded-ear responses by an acoustic compensator. An electronic compensation filter can be modified by a proximity switch in the earplug which changes state when the earplug is worn in the ear versus stored in a dock unit. The dosimeter can also have a temperature sensor for sensing human body temperature and remotely-located wireless LEDs used to alert the user of high noise dosage. Data can also be downloaded from the earplug using a reader unit.
