摘要： A method of resource management for elements interfacing a communication control system is comprised of firstly providing a queue list containing a sequence of fields. Each field contains at least the number of a queue in which the element is contained. A table of queue records is provided, each containing at least a head pointer to a first element in the queue list. A record of the table is accessed, and the head pointer stored therein is retrieved. The element number represented by the head pointer is accessed for use by the control system.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and apparatus adapted to be used in testing a subscriber line group marker, of a telephone central office switching device, wherein such markers are energizable by application of central office battery potential through a normally open path but closed in response to a subscriber's telephone going off hook and/or an incoming call from a distant office. Testing takes place without removing the marker physically from its central office switching environment by essentially eliminating any chance of it being electrically energizable by anyone but the testing party. Such is accomplished by placing the instant of time the marker is to be tested essentially under the sole control of the testing party by:(a) electrically obstructing said normally open path so that it remains open even when a subscriber goes off hook and/or notwithstanding the presence of an incoming call demanding service;(b) providing a normally open electrical path from the central office battery to the marker; and(c) at an instant of arbitrary choosing, closing the last mentioned electrical path and applying for predetermined period of time central office battery potential directly to the marker to energize it.

摘要： Disclosed is an arrangement of circuits for providing what is normally called Custom Calling or Special Services features such as signalling and switching for a call waiting or three-way calling. The apparatus shown may provide either feature or may provide both services by the selection and insertion of one of three available circuits. A plurality of common circuits are provided to operate with specific electronic logic circuits for call waiting, three-way calling or both. Circuits are plug-in PC boards using integrated circuit logic. Individual plug-in cards are provided--one for the call waiting feature, another for three-way calling and a third card is used to provide both features. The entire apparatus may be connected to the subscriber lines and to the central office equipment at the main distributing frame thereby requiring no internal wiring or circuit changes in the central office.
