摘要： The present disclosure provides an image encoder. The image encoder is configured to encode an original image and reduce compression loss. The image encoder comprises an image signal processor and a compressor. The image signal processor is configured to receive a first frame image and a second frame image and generates a compressed image of the second frame image using a boundary pixel image of the first frame image. The image signal processor may include memory configured to store first reference pixel data which is the first frame image. The compressor is configured to receive the first reference pixel data from the memory and generate a bitstream obtained by encoding the second frame image based on a difference value between the first reference pixel data and the second frame image. The image signal processor generates a compressed image of the second frame image using the bitstream generated by the compressor.

摘要： Example apparatus and methods concern managing the encoding and storing of game clips that are automatically generated to record video game highlights. Encoding game clips for smooth streaming using adaptive bit rates requires significant processing resources and storing the multiple bit rate encodings consumes significant storage. Therefore, example apparatus and methods compute a predicted popularity for a game clip based on user factors (e.g., status), video game factors (e.g., popularity), game clip factors (e.g., importance of event, uniqueness of event), or other factors. Predicted popularity may differ from actual popularity, therefore the popularity score may be recomputed using actual observations (e.g., number of views of the game clip). Additionally, actual observations may identify correlations between the factors used to predict popularity and the factors that actually determine popularity. Therefore, the prediction function may be dynamically updated to improve the prediction function and thus to improve the user experience.

摘要： Examples are disclosed for video analytics of captured video content. In some examples, information may be received from a host processing system for a camera to capture video content. The camera may be a surveillance camera or a camera located with a display device. Video analytics may be performed on the captured video and the captured video content may be encoded. Data associated with the video analytics may then be sent to the host processing system. In some examples, the data as well as encoded captured video content or streaming video may be sent via communication channels included in an interconnect. Other examples are described and claimed.

摘要： Some embodiments provide a video recording device for capturing a video clip. The video recording device receives a selection of a non-temporally compressed encoding scheme from several different encoding schemes for encoding the video clip. The different encoding schemes include at least one temporally compressed encoding scheme and at least the selected non-temporally compressed encoding scheme. The video recording device captures the video clip as several frames. The video recording device non-temporally encodes each of the frames as several slices. The slices of a particular frame are for decoding by several processing units of a video decoding device. The video recording device stores the video clip in a storage.
