    • The present invention provides a uniform resource locator (URL) transmission system for displaying at least one predetermined URL comprising: (a) a smart phone having a phone call recognition system for recognizing and transmitting caller identification information; and, (b) a base station comprising a central processing unit (CPU) for transmitting telecommunication signals formatted as an active message. The CPU includes a computer readable medium containing instructions for automatically converting the recognized caller identification information to the active message, and instructions for automatically associating the active message to at least one predetermined URL associated with the receiver of the caller's transmission.

    • Method and system for application isolation is provided. A computing system executes a plurality of processor executable applications and each application is assigned an address by an adapter that is operationally coupled to the computing system. The adapter also assigns a unique identifier to each construct generated by the plurality of applications; maintains a data structure associating the address with the unique identifier assigned to each construct; receives a request having an address and a unique identifier from an application from among the plurality of applications; retrieves the address and the unique identifier from the request; compares the retrieved address and the unique identifier with information maintained by the data structure; and processes the request if the retrieved address and the unique identifier matches with information of the data structure.

    • Call party details of a telephone call involving first and second telephony user devices are received. The call party details include first and second identities associated with the first and second telephony user devices respectively. A client-server connection request is received from, and a client-server connection is established with, one of the user devices. A session for the communication of data to and/or from the user devices is established separately from the telephone call on the basis of the first and second identities. The receipt of pre-configured user data by the one of the user devices is enabled via the client-server connection. The pre-configured user data has been specified by a user of another of the user devices prior to the establishment of the telephone call as data for receipt by other user devices during telephone calls conducted by the user.

    • E911 call routing technology that employs pseudo Automatic Number Indicators (pANI) is enhanced to provide video E911 services. Digital photos or video from a camera-equipped phone are associated with a pseudo Automatic Number Identification (pANI), e.g., an emergency service routing key (ESRK), or an emergency service query key (ESQK) in the VoIP scenario, and a dedicated email address is associated with each pseudo Automatic Number Indicator (pANI) for the emergency caller to email the image content to. A video E911 web database containing associations between pANIs and staged image content associated with the emergency caller relating to the pANI, is maintained at an appropriate video E911 web site hosted by a mobile positioning center (MPC) or VoIP positioning center (VPC).

    • A communication system receives data that does not pertain to an attempted initial establishment of a communication. The communication system uses a new message format under an existing analog Caller ID standard. The communication system inserts the data (which can be in addition to existing Caller ID data) into a Caller ID message that uses the new message format. The communication system then sends the Caller ID message to a communication device/Private Branch Exchange (PBX)/contact center that can interpret the new message format.The communication device/PBX/contact center can use the data to further route the communication to a specific telephone and/or can use the data to display information such as Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates of a cell phone. The data can enhance the capabilities of devices and systems that currently work under the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
