摘要： A system and method of remotely binding appliance information to a user's network is provided. At a point-of-purchase, a terminal can communicate with a remote server over a network, such as the Internet, to provide appliance identification information to the server. The server can associate the identified appliance with user data associated with the user purchasing the appliance. The server can also identify appliance data stored at the server based on the appliance identification information. The server can then bind the appliance data to the user's network. For instance, a target object, such as a local computing device (e.g. a home energy manager or local network device such as a network terminal), associated with the user can be identified based on the user data and a path to provide the appliance data to the target object can be specified.

摘要： In a network, a user can configure host-level policies usable for load balancing traffic to servers of a domain. A global server load balancing (GSLB) switch provides load balancing to the servers, and is configured with the GSLB host-level policies. Users can define a host-level policy (alternatively or additionally to a globally applied GSLB policy) and apply the host-level policy to hosts in domains configured on the GSLB switch. Thus, the user can enable different policies for different hosts. This allows the user to have the flexibility to control metrics used for selection of a best address for querying clients, as well as the metric order and additional parameters used in the GSLB process, at the host level.

摘要： An objective of the present disclosure is to provide a wireless communication device that is capable of efficiently searching another wireless communication device that is capable of providing a required service. A master device, when the master device receives an advertisement from a slave device, transmits, to the slave device, a scan request that includes information on a requested service that the master device requires. The slave device, which has received the scan request, decides whether or not the slave device itself is capable of providing the requested services, and transmits, to the master device, a scan response that includes a result of the decision. When the decision result included in the scan response indicates that the slave device is capable of providing the requested service, the master device establishes a connection to the slave device.
