    • A motor includes a stator, a rotor, a case, and back-surface magnet portions. The rotor has a first rotor core, a second rotor core and a field magnet. Each of the first and second rotor cores has a core base and claw-shaped magnetic poles. The field magnet is sandwiched between the first rotor core and the second rotor core and causes the claw-shaped magnetic poles of the first rotor core and the second rotor core to function as different magnetic poles. The back-surface magnet portions include a second and a first back-surface magnet portions respectively provided on the back surfaces of the claw-shaped magnetic poles of the second rotor core and the first rotor core. Size of the second back-surface magnet portion differs from size of the first back-surface magnet portion are different from each other.

    • In a motor, an armature includes an annular yoke having an inner surface, and a plurality of teeth radially projecting individually from the inner surface of the annular yoke, and a rotor is rotatably provided inside the armature with a gap between the outer surface thereof and the inner surface of the armature. The armature and rotor is configured to have a first magnetic resistance facilitating reactive magnetic flux to flow through at least one tooth in a plurality of teeth to an adjacent tooth of the at least one tooth therein as compared with the reactive magnetic flux toward the rotor. The armature and rotor is configured to have a second magnetic resistance facilitating main magnetic flux based on the at least one pair of magnetic poles to flow toward a yoke of the armature as compared with the main magnetic flux toward at least one tooth close to the main magnetic flux.

    • A motor in which drive current supplied to a winding is controlled in accordance with a rotational position of a rotor detected from a waveform of an induced voltage between phases. The motor is provided with a stator including 3×n teeth and windings for three phases. A rotor includes a rotor core, an n number of magnets, and an n number of salient poles. The magnets function as one of the magnetic poles, the salient poles function as the other one of the magnetic poles. Each salient pole is spaced apart by a gap from the adjacent ones of the magnets in the circumferential direction. The magnets and gap are arranged inward in the radial direction from the rotor core. An electrical angle between two ends of each magnet is set to be smaller than an electrical angle between two ends of each salient pole.
