    • Disclosed is a no-freewheeling arc lightning protection gap protecting device, comprising a grounding-side arc extinguishing device, and a grounding-side fitting and a conducting wire-side fitting installed at two ends of a circuit insulator string via fixing devices. The grounding-side arc extinguishing device comprises a thunder and lightning pulse acquisition device, an insulating sealing shell, a gas generating device and an arc extinguishing chamber. The other end of the grounding-side fitting is equipped with a connecting fine pipe. The grounding-side arc extinguishing device also comprises a tubular earth electrode made of a nonmetal conductive material and an L-shaped earth electrode. One end of the L-shaped earth electrode is inlaid in and connected with the connecting fine pipe on the grounding-side fitting via a Z-shaped connecting fitting, and the other end of the L-shaped earth electrode penetrates the thunder and lightning pulse acquisition device and is connected with the tubular earth electrode. One end of the nonmetal conductive material tubular earth electrode is internally inlaid in the arc extinguishing chamber, and the other end is connected with the insulating sealing shell. The device improves the electric power system stability and prolongs the service life of the electric power equipment such as transformer and breaker, and has low production and maintenance cost.

    • An electrode configuration for an electrical component, in particular a surge protector, includes two electrodes extending in a plate-shaped manner parallel to a radial plane relative to a connection axis of the electrodes, defining an axial direction. At least one electrode has a connection region lying in the radial plane and at least two, three or four ribbon-shaped strips each extending away from the connection region and at least partially in circumferential direction relative to the axial direction. A fault arc, occurring during a lightning strike, can be conducted outwards away from the electrical component and forced into rotation around the electrical component in an effective manner due to the ribbon-shaped strips at the outer edge of the connection region and at least two ribbon-shaped strips overlapping each other at a spacing with respect to their delimiting surfaces lying perpendicular to the axial direction.

    • There is disclosed a current-limiting arcing horn comprising a current-limiting unit and a ring horn. The current-limiting unit is composed of lower and upper electrodes, at least one nonlinear resistor element mounted between the electrodes, and an insulating member made of an insulation. The insulating member encloses the electrodes and the nonlinear resistor element. The insulating member has a certain length which is 1.5 to 3.0 times as long as the length of the nonlinear resistor element. The creepage distance of the surface of the insulating means is 1.5 to 3.0 times as long as the length of the insulating member. The grounding electrode of the current-limiting unit is fixed to the earthside base of an insulator that holds an insulated wire. The ring horn is mounted to the upper electrode. An air gap is formed between the ring horn and the insulated wire to permit a flashover by lightning surge across the gap.
