摘要： A compact antenna assembly which includes a lower member having a mast that is an elongated configuration terminating at an upper end and a lower end. The mast can be located at the center of an upper member. The upper member includes an emitter, having a perimeter, a top end, and a bottom end. The upper end of the mast is electrically connected to the perimeter near the top end. Furthermore, a collector with a centrally disposed opening can be placed in a horizontal plane which positions the collector orthogonally in space with respect to the mast so that the collector is electrically insulated from the emitter and the mast. The lower end of the mast is centered at the centrally disposed opening of the collector and extends perpendicularly to the plane of the collector.

摘要： A dual mode broadband antenna especially designed to provide an omni-directional low angle or high angle radiation pattern which is predominately horizontally polarized is disclosed herein. This antenna utilizes four wire radiators in the form of an inverted conical log-spiral supported in a vertically extending fashion a predetermined distance above the horizontal ground plane. In order to alternatively operate the antenna in its high and low angle modes, first and second oppositely phased AC currents are applied to the radiators in two different ways using a simple switching device rather than a more complicated network of four hybrid circuits.

摘要： The present invention generally relates to an electromagnetic field vector sensing receive antenna array system for installation and deployment on a structure. A multipolarized array of collocated antenna elements is used to provide calibrated amplitude and phase radiation patterns with monopole, dipole, and loop modes generated from crossed loops connected to a beamformer. The invention has applications for installation and deployment on a tower, balloon, satellite for radio frequency sensing and location of low-frequency galactic emissions. The novel receive antenna array system comprises a multipolarized vector sensor antenna array. The disclosed direction-finding vector sensor can be installed and deployed on a structure and can detect and locate radio frequency emissions from galactic sources. The key system components of the receive antenna array system consist of deployable antennas, receivers, signal processing computer, and communications link.
