    • A microwave signal connector can comprise a first portion of an inner conductor comprising a first diameter. A second portion of the inner conductor comprises a second diameter less than the first diameter and is in contact with the first portion of the inner conductor. An outer conductor is disposed around the first portion of the inner conductor and the second portion of the inner conductor with a first inner diameter disposed over the first diameter and a second inner diameter disposed over the second diameter. A dielectric material is disposed between the second portion of the inner conductor and the outer conductor that extends along a length of the second portion of the inner conductor. An adhesive is attached to the dielectric material, the second portion of the inner conductor, and the outer conductor.

    • A device for protecting a radio frequency transmission line from transient voltages includes an inner conductor for transmitting communication signals of a desired frequency band and a grounded, coaxial outer conductor electrically insulated from the inner conductor by a pair of annular insulators. As one feature of the invention, a tap conductor for discharging transient voltages carried by the inner conductor that fall outside the desired frequency band is coupled at one end to the inner conductor through a press-fit connection. As another feature of the invention, a pair of high-quality contacts are mounted onto opposite ends of the outer conductor and serve, together with the inner conductor, as the only electrical contact surfaces for the protective device that transmit the desired communication signals. As another feature of the invention, each insulator has a constant outer diameter along the entirety of its length and a variable inner diameter.

    • A coaxial connection assembly including a coaxial jack with a conductive outer shell with a first end and a second opposite end. The first end defines a front coaxial jack including an insulator mounted within an axial opening of the outer shell and a center conductor mounted within the insulator. The second end defines a rear coaxial jack including an insulator mounted within an axial opening of the outer shell and a center conductor mounted within the insulator. The center conductors of the front and rear jacks are electrically connected. The jack assembly is positioned within a longitudinal opening of a housing. The first end of the jack assembly extends through a first end of the housing and the second end of the jack assembly extends through a second end of the housing. The jack assembly may only be inserted within and removed from the housing through the first end. Rotation of the jack assembly within the opening is prevented. The housing includes a mounting flange extending away from the longitudinal opening adjacent the first end of the housing, with the mounting flange including an opening for receiving a fastener.
