摘要： The invention relates to a method for operating in hot stand-by mode a fuel cell (SOFC) or a high-temperature electrolysis or co-electrolysis reactor (1), with a stack of solid oxide elementary electrochemical cells (SOEC), the method comprising, during a given period of absence of an electric current respectively flowing out of or applied to the stack or when it is sought to raise or lower the temperature of the cell or reactor, a step of supplying compartments on the side of the hydrogen/water electrodes (H2/H2O) with pulses of a safety gas at regular time intervals during the given period, or when the cell voltage drops below a threshold value, so as to renew the gas(es) present in said compartments.

摘要： A water electrolysis and electricity generating system is equipped with a second supply flow path, a second lead-out flow path, a second gas-liquid separator, a hydrogen exhaust gas circulation flow path, and a storage flow path. In the second lead-out flow path, product hydrogen gas and hydrogen exhaust gas are led out from a cell member. The second gas-liquid separator separates into a gas and a liquid the product hydrogen gas and the hydrogen exhaust gas which have been led out from the second lead-out flow path. The second lead-out flow path and the second gas-liquid separator are shared in common by a water electrolysis mode and an electricity generating mode.

摘要： A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell; a temperature acquisition unit that acquires a temperature at a specific position in a vehicle equipped with the fuel cell system; a purge unit that purges the fuel cell when an operation of the fuel cell is stopped; and a control unit that acquires the temperature at the specific position from the temperature acquisition unit at least once from when the fuel cell system is stopped until the fuel cell system is started again, and uses the temperature at the specific position to determine whether purging at a stop by the purge unit is necessary when the fuel cell system is stopped next.

Electric power in the fuel cell is generated to raise a temperature of the coolant while stopping the vehicle. The coolant is circulated from the fuel cell to a radiator while stopping the vehicle. The coolant flowing from the radiator is supplied to an ion exchanger to remove ions from the coolant while stopping the vehicle.

This removal step comprises: a first step of maintaining a voltage of the fuel cell at 0 V so as to desorb organic matter from the catalyst layer; a second step of raising a temperature inside the fuel cell so as to evaporate the desorbed organic matter; and a third step of exhausting the evaporated organic matter from the fuel cell.

摘要： A system and method for limiting voltage cycling of a fuel cell stack during a stand-by mode by providing power from a battery to the stack while the stack is turned off. The method includes monitoring the voltage of each of the fuel cells in the fuel cell stack and determining an average cell voltage of the fuel cells in the fuel cell stack. The method also determines whether the average cell voltage of the fuel cells in the fuel cell stack has fallen below a predetermined voltage value and, if so, applies a voltage potential to the fuel cell stack to increase the average cell voltage above the predetermined voltage value.

If a current-voltage characteristic of the fuel cell declines by at least a pre-determined amount from an early-period level, the control portion re-sets the high-potential avoidance voltage to a value that is smaller than an early-period set value.
