摘要： An x-ray tube 10 can have (a) an enclosure electrically-insulating a cathode 11 from an anode 12; (b) a coating-ring 18 on an inner-face of the enclosure, the coating-ring 18 encircling a longitudinal-axis 16 of the enclosure; and (c) an interruption-ring 19 located at the inner-face of the enclosure at a different location than the coating-ring 18. The interruption-ring 19 can encircle the longitudinal-axis 16 at a different location along the longitudinal-axis 16 with respect to the coating-ring 18. The interruption-ring 19 can encircle the longitudinal-axis 16 at a different radius from the longitudinal-axis 16 than the coating-ring 18. The coating-ring 18 and the interruption-ring 19 can reduce uneven electrical charge build-up on the inner-face of the enclosure, and can protect the triple-point.

The carrier comprising a housing configured to be removeably coupled to the broadband x-ray source and configured to accommodate a secondary target capable of producing monochromatic x-ray radiation in response to incident broadband x-ray radiation, the housing comprising a transmissive portion configured to allow broadband x-ray radiation to be transmitted to the secondary target when present, and a blocking portion configured to absorb broadband x-ray radiation.

摘要： An apparatus and method to generate distributed x-rays. A hot cathode of an electron gun is used in vacuum to generate electron beams having certain initial movement energy and speed. Periodic scanning is performed with the initial low-energy electron beams, which are thus caused to be reciprocally deflected. A current-limiting device is provided in the travel path of the electron beams along the direction of the reciprocal deflection. Through holes arranged in an array on the current-limiting device, only part of the electron beams targeting specific positions can pass to form sequential electron beam currents distributed in an array. These electron beam currents are accelerated by a high-voltage electric field to obtain high energy, bombard an anode target, and thus sequentially generate corresponding focus spots and x-rays distributed in an array at the anode target.

摘要： An X-ray generator is provided using a transmission type target having a long life span, where it is possible to change the point for generating X-rays on the surface of the target while maintaining the vacuum chamber in a high vacuum state. A portion of a vacuum chamber 1 that includes a target 2 is linked to a main body portion 1a of the chamber through a linking member 5 as a movable chamber portion 1b. A fixed anode 12 is provided between the target 2 and the electrode 10 at the final stage from among a group of electrodes 8, 9 and 10 for electrostatically accelerating and converging electrons from an electron source 7 and is fixed to the main body portion 1a of the chamber in order to prevent the form of the electrical field from changing when the movable chamber portion 1b is shifted.

摘要： An X-ray tube device according to the present invention includes a cathode generating an electron beam, an anode generating an X-ray by collision of the electron beam from the cathode, an envelope internally housing the cathode and the anode, a magnetic field generator including a magnetic pole arranged to be opposed to the envelope, generating a magnetic field for focusing and deflecting the electron beam from the cathode to the anode, and an electric field relaxing electrode arranged between the magnetic pole and the envelope, having an outer surface having a rounded shape. Thus, the magnetic field generator can be placed closer to the envelope while a tip end of the magnetic field generator is suppressed from being a discharge start point, and hence the effect of being capable of downsizing the X-ray tube device is achieved.

摘要： In an electron irradiation system, a gas-tight housing encloses a cathode region and an irradiation region, which communicate through at least an aperture. In the cathode region, there is arranged a high-voltage cathode for emitting an electron beam. In the irradiation region, there is an irradiation site arranged to accommodate a stationary or moving object to be irradiated. The migration of cathode-degrading debris is limited by means of an electric field designed to prevent positively charged particles from entering the cathode region via the aperture. The invention can be embodied with an axial electric field, which realizes an energy threshold, or a transversal field which deflects charged particles away from trajectories leading into the cathode region.

An integrated structure of the electron beam to x-ray converter comprises a collimating grid containing a target fluid. The collimating grid comprises a plurality of individual cells enclosed in a housing assembly. An electron beam aimed at a selected individual cell of the collimating grid may be converted to an x-ray beam within the target fluid.

In particular, the metal deposition process is used to form an x-ray target metal layer and/or a stress buffer zone on an x-ray target substrate. The stress buffer zone improves material properties of the metals and/or the bonding between the x-ray target metal layer and the substrate. Improved bonding between the x-ray target metal layer and the substrate also improves the heat dissipation properties of the stationary x-ray target assembly.
