摘要： A reset rod (43) of a thermal overload relay is configured to be switchable between a manual reset position in which a reversal mechanism (21) is manually returned to an initial state prior to reversal by performing a pushing-in operation, and an automatic reset position in which a pushed-in state is held by a pushing and rotating operation from this manual reset position, and the reversal mechanism (21) is automatically returned to the initial position. In addition, axial runout restriction portions (17b, 17d, 51, 46 and 47), which restrict axial runout of the reset rod (43) when the reset rod (43) is held in the automatic reset position, are provided.

摘要： Circuit breakers can be used to replace fuses in plant comprising centrifuge machines driven by small three-phase electric motors. The circuit breakers incorporate three bi-metal strips which bend due to the heat produced by current flow. Loss of current in one phase results in unequal bending of these trips. In one arrangement, a light-emitting diode 5 fitted to a first strip 2 produced light to pass through an aperture 8 in a plate 7 on the second strip 3 to fall on a photo-sensitive detector 6 on the third strip 4. Any unequal bending causes the light to be cut-off and the resulting signal can be used to trip the circuit breaker. In some cases the strips are the strips in the circuit breaker.

The circuit breaker includes a tripping assembly with two contact strips 30, 40 free to move along the X direction, and for each bimetallic strip, a single adjustment part 15 fixed to a free inclined edge 19 of the bimetallic strip head 13, adjustable along the X direction, in the position obtained after heating of the bimetallic strips for calibration. The assembly 30, 40 may consist of a frame supporting adjustment parts until they are fixed and provided with separable areas 36, 46 to generate two contact strips following cutting.
