    • A position responsive switch. A position responsive switch comprises of a two chamber housing having a first and a second chamber. An aperture is disposed between the two chambers. A first lead wire and a second lead wire extend through the second chamber. A first and second set of contact members are coupled to the first lead wire and second lead wire. A conductive object is disposed within the two chamber housing. The conductive object is disposed in the second chamber and couples a contact member from the first set and second set together to form an electrical communication therewith. The first set of contact members and the second set of contact members are splayed upon and substantially conforming to the contour of an interior surface of the second chamber; and alternate in configuration around the chamber. An airtight container is configured to enclose the two chamber housing.

    • A magnetically activated float switch apparatus is disclosed for opening and closing an electrical circuit in response to a predetermined change in the level of a liquid. The apparatus includes a float element having an interior chamber. There is a capsule mounted within the chamber. A permanent magnet is mounted in the capsule and is slidable between first and second positions therein. A switch is mounted in the chamber adjacent to the capsule and is electrically connected to the electrical circuit. The switch is responsive to the permanent magnet in the first position for maintaining a first state and is responsive to a permanent magnet in the second position for maintaining an opposite second state. One of the states is open and the other is closed. The float element is suspended by a cable in an upright condition when the liquid is below a known level such that the magnet is in the first position and the switch is in the first state. A weight is attached to the float element for causing the float element to tip in the liquid when the liquid is at or above the known level such that the magnet shifts from the first position to the second position and the switch switches to the second state.

    • The float switch is for control of a submersible sump pump or the like and has a housing, a switch in the housing and with the switch having a spring control member extending therefrom to turn the switch on and off with movement of such control member, leads connecting to the switch and extending from the housing to the power controlled circuit. An activator arm is pivotally positioned in the housing for gravity actuated pivotal movement towards and away from the switch for engaging and moving the control member to switch closed position and to release it for switch opening action, the position of the activator arm being controlled by gravity and the float switch being permitted only limited movement with fluctuations in the water level in the sump by the leads secured thereto.
