    • A force control module, assembly, or device for controlling a force required to actuate an electromechanical actuator or a set of electromechanical actuators. The electromechanical actuator is for example a computer mouse button, a keypad, or a joystick button. The force control module includes a lever element that is couplable to the electromechanical actuator, and a fulcrum element that is engageable with the lever element at a pivot point or fulcrum point. A displacement of the fulcrum element relative to the lever element varies a position of the fulcrum point. The force required for actuating the electromechanical actuator is at least partially dependent upon the position of the fulcrum point. By displacing the fulcrum element relative to the lever element, and hence varying the position of the fulcrum point, a user can vary the force required for actuating the electromechanical actuator.

    • A switch assembly which has a mount (12), an elongate member (14), a switch (16) and a fulcrum (18). Pressing on elongate member (14) provides a force to actuate switch (16). Elongate member (14) is resilient or, alternatively, is resiliently biased to return to an unactuated position. Fulcrum (18) is movable along a length of elongate member (14). Positions of fulcrum (18) along the length enables variation of the force to actuate switch (16). As a result of this variation, different tactile feel of the switch assembly can be provided depending on position of fulcrum (18) relative to switch (16). Fulcrum (18) can also be positioned along elongate member (14) to provide a locking position that prevents switch (16) from being actuated.

    • A key module for a membrane switch keyboard has a flat spring running diagonally to the key housing on the bottom side which, with the aid of a plunger, is bent for the operation of membrane contacts. The flat spring with one free end is inserted into a slot which is open toward the top and permits an adjustment of the flat spring by pressure loading on the free end or on the bottom side against the lower section of the flat spring, which is adjacent to the bent free end. The free end of the flat spring is rigidly retained in a slot at the key housing. For the adjustment of the operating force a compression spring is arranged inside the plunger and is supported against a cross-piece running over the flat spring.
