摘要： A touch panel includes multiple belt-like lower electrodes formed on a light transparent base sheet and multiple belt-like upper electrodes placed away from the lower electrodes with a predetermined distance therebetween and in a direction crossing with the lower electrodes at right angles. The lower and upper electrodes are made of light transmissive and electrically conductive resin, so that they can be formed in a simple way such as printing. The foregoing structure thus allows obtaining the touch panel manufactured in a simple way at a lower cost.

The light guide plate includes a light incident surface facing the light source and a light emitting surface. Each key includes a cap, a light guide portion coupled to the cap, and a spring member configured for biasing the light guide portion in a direction away from the light emitting surface of the light guide plate. Each key is movable relative to the light guide plate, in response to manual manipulation thereto, between a depressed position where the light guide portion is attached to and optically coupled to the light emitting surface of the light guide plate thereby illuminating the cap, and a rest position where the light guide portion is spaced apart from the light emitting surface of the light guide plate.

The contacts may be formed as hemispherical domes to facilitate use. The sheet may also include band parts covering the contacts and an insulting sheet having at least one pair of semicircular openings which expose portions of the contacts. The insulating sheet is preferably made of a light-reflecting material/color which disperses light to illuminate keys of the keypad.

摘要： An apparatus for selective backlighting individual transluscent keys of a terminal keyboard includes a horizontal, double-sided printed circuit board having a number of right angle LEDs equal to the number of backlit keys mounted on its bottom surface. A plurality of clearance holes in the printed circuit board admit a plurality of vertical light pipes that are integral with a transparent substrate. Integral alignment bosses on a bottom surface of the substrate fit precisely in corresponding holes of the printed circuit board. Each light pipe has a rectangular cross section and a 45 degree inclined bottom surface. A horizontal light beam emitted by a LED passes through a vertical wall of a light pipe, strikes its inclined bottom surface, and is reflected up through the light pipe into a recess within a key. The substrate supports a rubber sheet in which the keys are molded and a switch contact layer with printed conductors thereon. Depression of a key presses a conductive shorting pad against the printed conductors, actuating a switch.

摘要： A backlit keyboard includes key switches and a backlight module. The backlight module includes a light guide plate, a reflecting surface, and at least one light-emitting device. The light guide plate is provided with light-guiding dots disposed on a bottom surface thereof. A light-shielding layer disposed on the light guide plate has a light-shielding portion and a light-transmitting portion corresponding to at least one of the key switches. The reflecting surface faces the bottom surface of the light guide plate, and a pattern at least partially overlaps the light-shielding portion. A first light-emitting device and a second light-emitting device are disposed in an opening of the light guide plate, and the first light-emitting device and the second light-emitting device face respective sidewalls of the opening. The first light-emitting device is located underneath the light-shielding portion.
