    • The present invention is related to a pusher assembly (105) for use with an operator. According to one aspect of the present invention, a pusher assembly generally comprises a body portion (208); first window (216) formed in the body portion; second window (218) formed in the body portion adjacent to the first window, the second window being wider than the first window. According to another aspect of the present invention, a method for assembling a pusher assembly comprises the steps of inserting (602) a movable contact into a first position in a first window; moving (608) the movable contact to a second window; and rotating (610) the movable contact to a second position within the second window.

    • A contact bridge arrangement useful particularly in electromagnetic switchgear has a set of fixed contacts and a contact bridge which can be brought into active connection therewith. The contact bridge is movably guided in a window of a contact bridge carrier being spring loaded in the direction of the fixed contacts by a spring which is braced on a support part which is carried, in the active position, on parts fixed to the housing and which is elevated by a stop in the window of the contact bridge carrier. The support part is inserted between a spring cup and the stop in the window of the contact bridge carrier from the outside of the contact bridge assembly in a direction transverse to the direction of the spring loading.

    • A movable contact structure having a movable contact member carried on a movable contact carrier by a spring biased rotatable plunger. The contact member has a channel-like cross section and is formed of at least two laminated metals each having different deflection and conductive characteristics so that the weight of the contact member may be reduced and provide a maximum conductive ability commensurate with its resistance to bending. An end of the plunger extends through a notched opening in the contact member so that when the plunger is rotated to one position the contact member may be separated from the carrier and when the plunger is rotated to a second position, a pin on the end of the plunger engages the material of the contact member to maintain the contact member on the end of the plunger. The plunger also includes a portion that acts as a piston in a bore of the contact carrier to reduce the bounce which occurs when the movable contact surfaces on the contact member initially engage the stationary contacts.
