摘要： The disclosure provides an apparatus and method for managing audio signals using foot-operated switches and selectors. The apparatus includes foot-operated switches that control signals from an instrument input, a looper module, or a MIDI sequence. Selectors adjust parameters like tempo, volume, or attributes of main and fill MIDI sequences. A sequence of foot switch depressions governs signal behavior. Additional features include sequence analysis for activation commands, signal recording, and sequence transitions. An external device may further adjust the signal, and a display offers visual feedback. The disclosure is applicable in music, audio engineering, and live performance contexts.

The processing unit performs: a storage process that causes input audio data to be stored in the storage regions of the first buffer in order; a first playback process that causes the stored audio data to be played back in the order in which the audio data was stored; a designation process that designates, in response to a user input, at least one of the plurality of storage regions of the first buffer in which the audio data is stored; a copy process that causes the audio data stored in the designated storage region of the first buffer to be copied to the second buffer; and a second playback process that causes the audio data copied to the second buffer to be repeatedly played back.

The computing device can present a grid of cells, where each cell represents a music segment. The user can select (e.g., touch) one or more cells in the grid to cause the corresponding music segment to play. While playing selected cells, the user can provide input selecting various musical effects to apply to the playing music. The user can record a dynamically selected sequence of cells and musical effects to create an original musical product.
