The timing controller forms a frame for an image signal based on a main frame, a compensation frame, and at least one blank frame. 摘要： A method of driving an electro wetting display panel includes applying a first data voltage to a pixel part of the display panel during a first section of a frame and applying a second data voltage different from the first data voltage to the same pixel part during a second section of the frame. The first data voltage is converted from display data based on a first gamma curve. The second data voltage is converted from the display data based on a second gamma curve. Light transmittance through the pixel part is changed based on movement of a fluid within the pixel part.

In a plasma display module comprising panel sections (12, 18) and a circuit section (27) and performing display by receiving an interlace signal, two horizontal lines adjacent vertically in each of odd field and even field form a set, two vertically adjacent cells belonging to a set of two horizontal lines display one pixel, each field consists of a plurality of subframes, and two cells in the set are lighted or unlighted simultaneously in a certain subframe at least for some display load rate wherein the ratio of emission intensity is different from 1 when the two cells are lighted simultaneously.

摘要： A high-quality stereoscopic image is displayed by suppressing crosstalk between an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye and stabilizing an address discharge. For this purpose, in the method for driving the plasma display apparatus, an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye are alternately displayed on the plasma display panel by alternately repeating a field for the right eye and a field for the left eye. In each of the field for the right eye and the field for the left eye, the subfield having the smallest luminance weight is placed first, the subfield having the largest luminance weight is placed next, and the other subfields are placed thereafter so as to have luminance weights sequentially decreasing.

摘要： When a current frame of a video expresses only grayscales less than a reference grayscale, a sustain pulse applying period and a holding period are alternately provided in a sustain period of at least one subfield having a weight greater than a reference weight in all of the discharge cells of a plasma display panel, thereby reducing power consumption in the plasma display panel. In the sustain pulse applying period, sustain pulses alternately having a first voltage and a second voltage less than the first voltage are applied in opposite phases to first electrodes and second electrodes of the plasma display panel. In the holding period, the first electrodes and/or the second electrodes are maintained at the first voltage.
