摘要： In an example embodiment, there is described herein an method comprising a cassette operable to store documents, the cassette having an external surface, an electrophoretic display coupled with the external surface, and a wireless interface coupled with the cassette and operably coupled with the electrophoretic display. In particular embodiments, the electrophoretic display is operable to receive data representative of configuration from a wireless device in data communication with the wireless interface.

摘要： Apparatus and methods are provided for a dual validator self-service kiosk (“SSK”). The SSK may include a first validator. The first validator may examine a deposit inserted into the SSK. The SSK may include a second validator. The second validator may examine a tangible item before the SSK dispenses the tangible item. The SSK may retract the tangible item if the tangible item in not collected by a customer. The second validator may examine the tangible item after being retracted by the SSK. The first validator may apply a first examination routine to the deposit. The second validator may apply a second examination routine before the SSK dispenses the tangible item. The second validator may apply a third examination routine to a tangible item retracted by the SSK.

Prior to the activation of the cash box (10), the control unit (16) checks the proper functioning of at least one sensor (20) of the sensor unit (18). In addition, the invention relates to a method for activating a cash box (10).

摘要： A cash management system utilizes a cloud computing model wherein a cloud of one or more servers may be locally networked or may be geographically dispersed and accessed by the client device over the Internet. The client device is a cash management safe. More than one safe may be employed in a system. Metrics, control functions, and interactions normally handled by an autonomous safe are shunted directly to a cloud server on the network. Usage data, currency validations, coin validations, security entries, etc. are communicated to the cloud server. The cloud server(s), based on database information and software settings, can transmit configuration, updates and information to remote safes. The information transmitted may include user configuration, access rules, currency configuration, alert configuration, and software and firmware updates. The cloud server based cash management system allows the entire cash management of an enterprise to be provided as a service to that enterprise.
