摘要： Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems for suggesting uniform resource locators located at previously unknown hosts to users. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to record uniform resource locators (URLs) associated with web resources accessed by a user and usage details pertaining to the user's usage of the web resources. Responsive to receiving a request to access a hostname not stored in the recorded URLs, embodiments of the present invention can be used to receive URLs associated with web resources available at the hostname and assign weight values to the received URLs based, at least in part, on the usage details and a similarity between the received URLs and the recorded URLs. Embodiments of the present invention can then be used to generate a URL suggestion from the received URLs based, at least in part, on the assigned weight values.

摘要： A computer device may reduce user error when constructing a search query. The computing device may display one or more search terms within a search box based on user input. The computing device may display initial autosuggest candidates and detect a user-selected initial autosuggest candidate. The computing device may display the user-selected initial autosuggest candidate within the search box as a preliminary search query, without automatically initiating a web search for the preliminary search query. The computing device may receive new autosuggest candidates having the preliminary search query as a common prefix, generate truncated autosuggest candidates by removing the common prefix from each new autosuggest candidate, and display the truncated autosuggest candidates.

The one or more processors execute the keyboard application to output a graphical keyboard including a plurality of keys and a search element, receive an indication of a selection of the search element, and, responsive to receiving the indication of the selection of the search element, output, within the graphical keyboard, a query suggestion region including one or more suggested search queries. The keyboard application may also determine, based on an indication of a user input detected by the computing device, a search query, invoke, based on the search query, a search, responsive to invoking the search, receive search results, and output, within the graphical keyboard, a graphical indication of at least a portion of the search results.

摘要： Context data is determined for a web page. The context data includes textual data that describes subject matter displayed on the web page. A client query is retrieved from a client-retrieved instance of the web page. An identifier associated with the web page capable of distinguishing the web page from other web pages is determined. In response to receiving the client query, a plurality of queries are retrieved from a database. Whether one or more of the retrieved queries correlate the determined web page context and the received client query is determined. A set of one or more queries from the plurality of queries is selected based on the selected set of queries each having been determined to correlate the web page context data and the client query. The selected set of the plurality of the queries is sent to the client-retrieved instance of the web page.

摘要： Interactions between users on mobile devices can be facilitated by making the users aware when other users have performed similar searches. In one embodiment, when two users executing a mapping application on a mobile device each perform a similar search in a similar geographic area, the server that receives and performs the search request can make each user aware of the other's presence, for example by displaying an icon indicating the other user on the mapping application. The search results may be refined to indicate search results in a geographic area common to the geographic search areas of each user.

The query processing service identifies a subset of answers, from a plurality of answers, which are determined to be most relevant to the query, based upon relevance data for the plurality of answers. The query processing service receives, from the client device, user selection data that specifies a user selection of a particular answer to the question about the client device. In response to receiving the user selection data, the query processing service updates user selection data maintained by the query processing service to include the user selection of the particular answer to the question about the client device. The query processing device may also revise relevance data based upon the update made to the user selection data.

In at least one implementation, a personal information application includes a search suggestion element in which both search suggestions and contacts suggestions may be presented. The personal information application includes a search element in a user interface to a personal information service in which a search query may be entered. Search suggestions and contact suggestions can be identified based at least in part on the search query and presented via a suggestion element in the user interface. An indication of interest made with respect to a contact suggestion results in the presentation of contact details for an associated contact. The presentation of at least the search suggestions persists while the contact details of the associated contact are presented.
