    • The present invention is a parking time indicator key fob which includes a housing and a timing device contained within the housing for counting down an amount of time. A display is connected to the housing for indicating an amount of time remaining on the timing device. The present invention further includes a means for setting the timing device to the amount of time and an alarm mechanism is connected to the timing device. Upon setting the setting means to the amount of time, the timing device is activated causing the timing device to count down from the amount of time value to a zero value. Upon reaching a predetermined value, the timing device causes the alarm mechanism to be activated thereby alerting a user that the amount of time is approaching the zero value.

    • A dial-type timer device having a timer body and a dial on a face of the timer body. A cover, including a locking pawl, is placed on the face of the timer body so that the dial protrudes through a hole therein. A setting ring is mounted on the dial and engages the locking pawl at a selected location to repeatedly set the time. Alternatively, two setting rings, each including a tooth on its outer periphery, are mounted on the dial to limit the range of rotation of the dial. Also, in a timing circuit of the timer, a dummy resistor of substantially the same impedance as an output relay, with its own switching element is connected in series with the output relay. By switching current alternatively through the output relay and the dummy resistor, fluctuation of current in the circuit is minimized and stable power is supplied to the time-limit circuit.

    • A clock construction and method for making the same are provided, the clock construction comprising a frame, an interval timer carried by the frame, and a selector shaft rotatably carried by the frame while being axially movable relative thereto and being operatively interconnected to the timer to set the same to a selected time period upon rotation of the selector shaft. The timer has a cam member rotatably disposed on the shaft and has a slot in one side thereof. The shaft has a drive member disposed in the slot to rotate the cam member in unison with rotation of the shaft in any axial position of the shaft. A spring is disposed between the frame and the drive member to tend to maintain the shaft in one axial position thereof. The spring is confined completely within the slot of the cam in all axial positions of the shaft relative to the frame.
