    • In the control method for an analogue display device fitted to a timepiece movement, the motor is used both for driving a first indicator of a time parameter and a second periodically driven indicator. To this end, the motor is controlled such that, when the first indicator is in an operating mode and the second indicator is arranged to remain substantially immobile, said first indicator is driven in rotation by the motor alternately: in a forward direction, to display the time parameter, during a first period in which a periodic actuation wheel set is simultaneously driven in positions of its area of non-actuation, and in a backward direction, in accelerated mode, during a second period following the first period, before the periodic actuation wheel set is driven in a position of its area of actuation.

    • The movement (10) includes at least one display ring (12, 14) which is rotatably mounted on a bottom plate (16) and which carries markings that will appear in a display zone (22). The ring (12, 14) is fitted with an inner peripheral toothing (24, 26) which cooperates with drive means (20) and which cooperates with a jumper spring (32, 34).     • To provide, via a simple method, a piezoelectric vibrator wherein nonuniformities in the adjusted amounts of the characteristic frequencies are small, and the characteristic frequencies can be adjusted with little decrease in the vibration characteristics, whereby individual differences pertaining to the characteristic frequency can be eliminated. In a vibrator 70, adjustment electrodes 72 are formed in advance on part of an electrode 60, and drive electrode 61 and adjustment electrodes 72 that have initially been made conductive relative to each other are electrically cut off and insulated from each other by cutting conductive parts 73, or the mutually insulated drive electrode 61 and adjustment electrodes 72 are made conductive (shorted) using solder, a wire, or another electrically conductive member, whereby the characteristic frequencies are adjusted simply and reliably. Individual differences in the vibrators 70 related to the resonance frequency (characteristic frequency) can thereby be eliminated, and reliability can be greatly improved.

    • An electronic analog calendar timepiece includes a mechanism for automatically correcting the date indication at the ends of months having less than 31 days. A second motor activates the month correction-mechanism in short months to advance the date dial by additional indicated days. Such irregular advancements occur in accordance with the condition of switches associated with the 29th, 30th, and 31st day positions of the date dial, and in accordance with data stored in memory to correlate with the displayed month of the year. A conventional driving mechanism associates with conventional time keeping circuitry to advance the hands and the day, date, and month indicators for all days occurring in the month. The month-end correcting mechanism is linked to the conventional driving mechanism by actuation of the second motor.
