摘要： A multispectral optical sensor is disclosed. In one embodiment, the multispectral optical sensor includes a piezoelectric material, a first sensing layer and a second sensing layer spaced apart from each other on the piezoelectric material and configured to change the propagation speed of the acoustic wave propagated through the piezoelectric material by receiving ultraviolet light and visible light, respectively. The multiple optical sensor further includes a first acoustic wave output part and a second acoustic wave output part disposed on the piezoelectric material respectively corresponding to the first and second sensing layers and configured to generate an electrical signal based on the changed acoustic wave. The multiple optical sensor measures the intensity of ultraviolet and visible light using a single sensor by detecting the change in frequency, and measures the frequency change in the acoustic wave using zinc oxide, gallium nitride), or cadmium sulfide nanoparticles.

摘要： Disclosed is a sensor shield for use in a multi-shelf merchandise display unit including a plurality of sensors mounted on a wall of the unit and opposite a source of illumination, in which each sensor corresponds to a single shelf and in which the shelves are at least semi-porous to the illumination. The shield comprises i) a plate having a length that is sufficient substantially to reduce or prevent incident illumination from the shelf above reaching the sensor; and ii) means to attach the plate to casing of or around the sensor or the wall of the unit. The plate is opaque to the illumination detected by the sensor. Also disclosed is a method to reduce the interference of light in a multi-shelf merchandise display unit from shelves above a shelf on which stock levels are being measured and a method for monitoring stock levels in a retail display cabinet by measuring light entering the retail display cabinet.

Each of the pipette tip carriers has a support panel with receiving holes into each of which a disposable pipette tip can be inserted. The laboratory workstation for carrying out the method has a robot arm with at least one pipette which is designed to receive and dispose of disposable pipette tips. The laboratory workstation has a digital camera which is arranged on a support device and is operatively connected to an analyzing unit. The work area of the laboratory workstation can be completely imaged in at least one first direction using the digital camera.

摘要： Methods and systems for determining for determining asphaltene onset pressure of a formation fluid are described herein. The method includes the following processes: (a) transmitting light through a sample of the formation fluid; (b) decreasing pressure of the sample; (c) detecting intensity of the transmitted light during depressurization; (d) identifying a change in intensity of the transmitted light during depressurization; (e) increasing pressure of the sample to a fixed pressure; and (f) detecting intensity of the transmitted light at the fixed pressure and at an equilibrated light intensity. Processes (a) to (f) are repeated for a number of different fixed pressures. The asphaltene onset pressure of the formation fluid sample can be determined using (i) the intensity of the transmitted light during each depressurization and (ii) the intensity of the transmitted light at each of the different fixed pressures.

摘要： A spatial heterodyne spectrometer may employ an integrated computational element (ICE) to obtain a measure of one or more fluid properties without requiring any moving parts, making it particularly suitable for use in a downhole environment. One illustrative method embodiment includes: directing light from a light source to illuminate a sample; transforming light from the sample into spatial fringe patterns using a dispersive two-beam interferometer; adjusting a spectral weighting of the spatial fringe patterns using an integrated computation element (ICE); focusing spectral-weight-adjusted spatial fringe patterns into combined fringe intensities; detecting the combined fringe intensities; and deriving at least one property of the sample.
