摘要： There is provided a signal processing apparatus advantageous in terms of sound source separation performance. The signal processing apparatus includes a dividing unit configured to divide audio signal acquired by a plurality of audio acquisition units into components of a plurality of different frequency bands, and a processing unit configured to form, based on the audio signal, a plurality of directional beams having different directivities in accordance with a target direction and a target width. Each of the plurality of directional beams has directivities in different directions for the respective components of the frequency bands divided by the dividing unit.

摘要： A method is provided for detecting at least one structure-borne sound signal, in particular for detecting at least one damage event and/or at least one contact event. On a motor vehicle with a sensor, provision is made for a site of impact of the damage event and/or contact event to be determined by recording at least one measurement signal at a single sensor having a single structural unit, and for separately determining the distance between the sensor and the site of impact and the direction from which the structure-borne sound signal hits the single sensor. A device is also provided for detecting at least one structure-borne sound signal, in particular a structure-borne sound signal influenced by a damage event and/or contact event, with at least one sensor. The sensor has at least one storage device and at least one signal-transferring connection with at least one evaluation device.

摘要： Mentally challenged persons such as autistic children and Alzheimer's patients can become lost and they are hard to find because they have difficulty communicating or they are confused and disoriented. The present invention provides an apparatus, system and methods for locating lost persons (or animals or packages) whether they are indoors or outdoors. The apparatus comprises a cellular telephone unit which can be activated by a RF signal and which a child or patient can wear. The wearable unit can be activated by a caregiver's smart phone having a locating application installed therein. The locating application enables the caregiver to locate the lost person using radio direction finder triangulation when the lost person is within a few hundred feet of the caregiver. When the lost person is further away, the locating application employs cell phone tower triangulation or the wearable unit GPS/Assisted GPS application to determine an approximate location of the lost person. As the caregiver moves close enough to the approximate location, the radio direction finder triangulation is used to calculate a more exact location to find the lost person.

The sound source signal filtering method includes: generating two or more microphone output signals by combining sound source signals input through a plurality of microphones; calculating distances between the microphones and a sound source from which the sound source signals are emitted by using distance relationships according to frequencies of the sound source signals extracted from the generated microphone output signals; and filtering the sound source signals to obtain one or more sound source signals corresponding to a predetermined distance by using the calculated distances. Accordingly, it is possible to obtain only sound source signals emitted from a sound source at a particular distance from the microphone array among a plurality of sound source signals input through the microphone array.
