摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a durometer enabling a contact portion in contact with an object to perform smooth piston motion. The durometer includes a main body unit including a movable unit pressed continuously against an object to be measured, a first sensor outputting acceleration information corresponding to an acceleration of movement of a contact part of the object to be measured in contact with the movable unit in a pressing direction, a second sensor outputting reactive force information corresponding to a reactive force at the contact part of the object to be measured in contact with the movable unit, a motor, a crank mechanism driven by the motor and causing the main body unit and the movable unit to perform piston motion, and at least one buffering member disposed on a periphery of the main body unit.

摘要： An electromagnetic multiaxial fatigue testing machine includes a test piece fixing platform and an electromagnet loading mechanism arranged on a frame, wherein the electromagnet loading mechanism includes a first loading device for bend loading, and a second loading device for axial and torsional loading. The first loading device includes a first permanent magnet and a first electromagnet with a direction of a magnetic force generated therebetween is orthogonal to an axial direction of a test piece; the second loading device includes a second permanent magnet and a second electromagnet mounted on a swinging pair with a direction of a magnetic force generated therebetween is parallel to the axial direction of the test piece.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for mechanically loading a biological sample. The apparatus comprises: a container for housing the biological sample; a ferromagnetic element, for attachment to the biological sample within the container; and a solenoid for generating a magnetic field within the container, so as to apply a force to the ferromagnetic element. The solenoid is configured, when energised by a constant current, to produce a force on the ferromagnetic element that varies by less than a predetermined amount over a predetermined range of movement of the magnet within the container. A method of mechanically loading a biological sample is also disclosed.

摘要： A method of determining the non-propagation threshold of fatigue cracks at high frequency, wherein cyclic loading is exerted on at least one testpiece having an elliptical hole in a testpiece zone, the elliptical hole having a notch at one end and the testpiece being held between two rigid masses with two rigid pre-stress plates being arranged on either side of the at least one testpiece and each fastened at its two ends to the two rigid masses, which cyclic loading is at a frequency that is selected as being equal to the resonant frequency of the assembly including the testpiece, the masses, and the stress plates, so as to generate a fatigue crack from the notch, and then once it has been observed that the crack has stopped propagating, the final length of the crack is measured and a chart is used to determine the non-propagation threshold.
