摘要： A desorber for a spectrometer, comprising a housing, which has supply lines and discharge lines for a sample carrier gas, together with a closable opening, and an induction unit arranged in the housing, wherein the induction unit comprises a high-permeability and electrically insulating coil carrier, a coil arranged in the coil carrier, a high-permeability sample carrier that can be removed via the closable opening, wherein the sample carrier is designed as an inductive heating element, for purposes of heating a substance to be desorbed, which is applied to the sample carrier, and the coil carrier and the coil are arranged spaced apart from the sample carrier by a gap, such that the magnetic flux, generated by an alternating current flowing in the coil, flows through the sample carrier via the coil carrier and the gap.

The biological sample contains nucleic acid and a coating structure covering the nucleic acid. The metal mesh with the biological sample trapped thereon is immersed in a nucleic acid extractant. The nucleic acid extractant is a solvent for the nucleic acid but not for the coating structure.

摘要： A combustion gas analyzer for measuring the concentration of a gas constituent in an exhaust gas stream is provided. The gas analyzer includes a sensor cell assembly coupled to a transmitter having electrical circuitry configured to provide an output of the concentration of the gas constituent as sensed by the sensor cell assembly. The combustion gas analyzer also includes a filter substantially enclosing the sensor cell assembly and a conduit coupled to the filter at a first end of the conduit and coupled to a valve assembly at a second end of the conduit. The conduit is used for supplying a calibration gas to the sensor cell assembly or for supplying a blow-back gas used to purge the filter.

摘要： A method and apparatus for measuring effects of various conditions on deposit build up in an exhaust gas recirculation system. The apparatus includes a testing jig having a main branch, a test branch, and a control branch. The test and control branches are connected, at an inlet and outlet, to the main branch. Each branch includes a flow control valve so that fluid flow through the test branch can be equalized with fluid flow through the control branch. A parameter of interest, such as temperature, oil, or humidity, in the test branch is modified, and the jig is connected to an engine exhaust, and the flows are equalized. Pressures and temperatures at various points in the jig are monitored and, after a predetermined period of time or when a pressure drop is sensed, the test is complete and the deposits in the test branch are compared with those in the control branch to determine the effect of the altered parameter.
