摘要： A method and apparatus for temperature processing a food item. It should be noted that the description provided herein will primarily focus on cooking temperature processing, but cooking is referred to, the process for determining core temperature can also be used for chilling and/or freezing a food item. One implementation of the technology as disclosed and claimed, utilizes a combination of 3D profile scanning camera, mid-range infrared camera, high-resolution encoder-based positioning device, and cook profile settings in order to measure the physical attributes of the product related to the fully cooked state. The system is measuring at least two aspects that determine the temperature change within an object during the cook process and they are geometry and thermodynamic properties.

The device includes a plurality of multipliers that multiply together measurement values, which are the signal intensity of the microwave output by the microwave radiometer, and weighting coefficients to be an element of a weighted vector a and output multiplication results; and an integrator that integrates the multiplication results of the plurality of multipliers. The weighted vector a modifies the accuracy of the corrected sensitivity function Φ(x,y) with performance of the arithmetic processing of the inverse problem in order to reduce integrated values of a positive value region and a negative value region present on an outer side of the sensitivity distribution of the target antenna sensitivity distribution function F(x,y) in the corrected sensitivity function Φ(x,y).

摘要： Epoxy-based inline infrared (IR) filter assembly, and manufacture and use of the same. Co-axial infrared filter assemblies comprise a substantially cylindrical filter body forming a central cavity characterized by opposing holes at each end. The filter body forms an outer conductor, and SMA connectors coupled to the opposing holes at each end of the body are electrically coupled to form an inner conductor positioned along a long axis of the filter body. An infrared absorbing material (such as castable epoxy resin) fills the central cavity of the filter body. Methods for producing the co-axial infrared filter include pressing SMA connectors into the respective ends of the filter body, electrically coupling the SMA connectors, and filling the filter body with epoxy. Electronic systems for operating a dark matter detector include a feedline comprising a coaxial filter configured to advantageously block infrared noise.

The mobile body portion is configured for supporting the at least one microwave radiometer therein such that the at least one microwave radiometer rotates about the rotation axis when the mobile body portion is rotated about the rotation axis such that a polarization axis of the at least one radiometer is aligned with an earth axis. The fixed body portion includes a motor mechanism for effecting rotation of the mobile body portion such that the at least one microwave radiometer provides a vertical scanning below and above the mobile platform.

The radiometer comprises, connected in series, antenna, SPDT switch, circulator, receiver including amplifier with bandpass filters, amplitude detector, narrowband low-frequency amplifier and synchronous detector, integrator, direct current power amplifier, reference voltage generator connected to the SPDT switch and synchronous detector. A Peltier element is connected to the receiver output. First and second microwave loads are installed on the Peltier element and have thermal contact with it. There is at least one temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of microwave loads. The first microwave load is adapted for connection to the SPDT switch. The SPDT switch is adapted to connect either, to a first arm of the circulator, the antenna, or the first microwave load. A second arm of the circulator is connected to the receiver, and a third arm of the circulator is connected to the second microwave load.

摘要： Devices, systems, and techniques for monitoring the temperature of a device used to charge a rechargeable power source are disclosed. Implantable medical devices may include a rechargeable power source that can be transcutaneously charged. The temperature of an external charging device and/or an implantable medical device may be monitored to control the temperature exposure to patient tissue. In one example, a temperature sensor may sense a temperature of a portion of a device, wherein the portion is non-thermally coupled to the temperature sensor. A processor may then control charging of the rechargeable power source based on the sensed temperature.

The antenna comprises: a bearing device on which is rigidly mounted: rotating waveguide adapter which provides the output for the antenna; an electromechanical drive, the output shaft of which is defined as the main axis of rotation for the antenna and a position sensor. The antenna further comprises an antenna rotor, the rotation of which is configured to be controlled by the output shaft of the electromechanical drive of the bearing device. A transducer may be configured to multiplex signals that are indicative of a temperature of a location of interest within the body of a subject and reference temperature signals. Such a transducer may include a connector that facilitates the communication of a multiplexed signal, such as a connector for a coaxial cable. The connector of a transducer may be configured to swivel relative to an end of a cable that has been coupled thereto. Systems including such a transducer are also disclosed.

摘要： A handheld apparatus for measuring natural microwave electromagnetic radiation emanating from a human body to detect areas of anomalous emissions indicating concealed contraband is disclosed. In a particular embodiment the apparatus includes at least two radiometers directed toward a common viewing plane. Circuitry converts the strength of the microwave emissions into a spatially indexed electrical signal related to the localized intensity of the emanations. The lack of need for highly precise spatial resolution allows the use of a region of the microwave spectrum with an abundance of low cost components. A processing system is configured to analyze the time dependent signal from each radiometer during the scanning of a subject. Additional confirmation sensors that measure the body's acoustical reflection capability and metal content supplement the microwave measurements to provide more robust readings. Methods for determination of the relative position of the anomalous reading and communicating with the operator are discussed.
