摘要： An alignment apparatus (the tool) of the present invention includes a pair of bracket devices for rigidly holding shafts. As the shafts are secured to the bracket devices with chains, sensors of one of the bracket devices are exposed to an extension beam of the other bracket device thereby defining gaps or distances between the extension beam and the sensors. If offset is determined between the distances because one shaft is misaligned relative the other shaft, the sensors send signal to a mobile device, thereby informing a user about misalignment between the shafts.

摘要： The present invention provides a gauging jig, for gauging whether projections of first and second rollers, which are disposed in parallel on both sides of a carrying surface of a platform, coincide on the surface. The gauging jig includes a pointer instrument which is provided on a side of the platform and perpendicular to the carrying surface. The pointer instrument has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the first roller and intersects with a central axis of the first roller, while the second end extends close to the second roller. With the gauging jig, an operator can promptly and accurately gauge whether the projections of the first and second rollers coincide on the carrying surface. Therefore, gauging time can be saved while times of trial production can be reduced or even omitted, thereby improving the production efficiency and reducing cost.

摘要： According to exemplary inventive practice, a frame has a geometric vertical axial plane and supports a receptacle, four thumbscrews, and four dial indicators. Each thumbscrew has a dial indicator associated therewith and can be turned to move along its geometric axis, perpendicular to the vertical axial plane. The thumbscrews are paired, with respective axes aligned, on opposite sides of the vertical axial plane. The frame is placed upon a base, the body is secured to the frame using the receptacle to grip a portion of the body, and the dial indicators are calibrated for matching thumbscrew displacement measurements in each opposite thumbscrew pair. The thumbscrews are moved into contact with the base and are adjusted to align the body with the base, as indicated by matching dial indicator readings in each opposite thumbscrew pair. The aligned body is affixed to the base, and the frame (with accompanying components) is removed.

摘要： A clockspring assembly is provided having means to indicate that the clockspring assembly is properly centered upon installation in a motor vehicle. The clockspring assembly includes a hub and a rotor that is rotatable relative to the hub. A ribbon cable is wound about the rotor and provided with one end attached to the rotor and another end attached to the hub. An electronic centering indicator is mounted to the hub and is configured to indicate a centered position of the hub relative to the rotor as a result of a condition occurring when the hub becomes centered with the rotor. Upon the occurrence of the condition, the centering indicator is configured to provide an electronic signal indicating that the clockspring is properly centered.
