摘要： A safety device for a front-loading weapon of the type comprising a mortar barrel having a closed breech end and an opposite open end for launching a mortar projectile. The device includes at least one sensor, configured for mounting adjacent the mortar barrel, for sensing a mortar projectile upon its insertion in the barrel and an electronic circuit, coupled to said sensor, for detecting movement of the mortar projectile past said sensor, thereby to detect the presence of the projectile in the barrel.

摘要： A front loading weapon includes a barrel for firing ammunition therefrom; a breechblock arranged at a rear terminal portion of the barrel; a firing pin carried by the breechblock; and an apparatus for monitoring load conditions of the barrel. The apparatus includes a body sound sensor mounted on the weapon and emitting a first signal representing body oscillations of the weapon; an electronic evaluating device connected to an output of the sensor for emitting a second signal characteristic of an impacting of a cartridge on a region of the breechblock upon loading the cartridge into the barrel; and a warning device connected to the electronic evaluating device for being actuated by the second signal.

摘要： A cartridge casing detection system for detecting the presence or absence of a cartridge casing in the cartridge chamber of a machine cannon. A lever is pivotally mounted in a recess of the housing of the weapon. A sensor is connected to a switch. One free end of the lever is adapted to coact with the sensor tip and the other free end of the lever is adapted to coact with the edge of the cartridge casing when the latter is disposed in the cartridge chamber of a weapon. A breech block is reciprocally mounted in the weapon and includes a pocket past which the other free end may extend for contacting the cartridge casing when the breech block is in its forwardmost operative position.

摘要： A safety device for preventing feeding a mortar round into a barrel already containing a round. A tripping arm of a bell crank extends into the barrel of a mortar and permits one mortar round to enter the barrel. The tripping arm then locks to prevent a second round from entering the barrel. The firing of the first round unlocks the tripping arm to permit a subsequent firing of the mortar.
