摘要： A phase change material (PCM) heat exchanger system for a rocket or other spacecraft is described. The PCM heat exchanger utilizes phase-change material to store heat absorbed from a hot working fluid. The PCM heat exchanger may be configured as an integrated modular double brazed layout that includes folded fins to distribute heat from a working fluid (e.g., hydraulic fluid) to PCM. A modular configuration may enable a heat exchanger system to be scaled up or down by adding or removing modules to meet cooling requirements for particular rockets and their flights.

摘要： A microchannel flat tube applicable in a microchannel heat exchanger includes a flat tube body and a row of channels. The row of channels is arranged in the flat tube body along a width direction. The row of channels extends through the flat tube body along a length direction. A cross-section of each channel includes a first width in the width direction and a first height in a thickness direction. The row of channels at least includes a first group of first channels, a second group of second channels and a third group of third channels along the width direction. The first widths of the first channels, the second channels and the third channels decrease at a fixed value, thereby facilitating the control of the thickness of the microchannel flat tube and improving the heat exchange efficiency.

摘要： Described herein is an apparatus and method for avoiding frost buildup on the air intake and or ice buildup on the ice condensing surfaces of the exhaust vent of a condensing appliance. The apparatus comprises a heat-conducting path that extends between the exhaust gas in the exhaust vent of the appliance, and the frost condensing surfaces at or near the air intake opening of the combustion air vent. The heat-conducting path has a first section in thermal contact with the exhaust gas and a second section in thermal contact with the frost condensing surfaces at or near the air intake. In one configuration, the heat-conducting path is a heat pipe. In one configuration the heat-conducting path is a heat exchanger assembly. The passive transfer of heat energy via the heat-conducting path, from the exhaust gas to the frost condensing surfaces at or near the air intake, avoids frost buildup.

The microchannel heat exchanger (100) includes at least two heat exchanger units (101, 102) vertically arranged in parallel with the top one being a first heat exchanger unit (101) and the bottom one being a second heat exchanger unit (102). Every heat exchanger unit (101, 102) includes: a first heat tube (103) and a second heat tube (104) oppositely arranged in the horizontal direction; and multiple flat tubes (105) extending between the first and second heat tubes (103, 104) and having both ends communicated with the first and second heat tubes (103, 104). The microchannel heat exchanger (100) also includes multiple fins (109) each arranged between and in contact with the neighboring flat tubes (105) of the same heat exchanger unit and extending from the first heat exchanger unit (101) to the second heat exchanger unit (102). The microchannel heat exchanger (100) overcomes the disadvantage of becoming dirty and blocking and has excellent heat dissipation effect.
