摘要： The solar-powered LiBr-water absorption air conditioning system using hybrid storage includes one or more solar collectors generating heat energy to drive the system. The solar collector communicates with a generator to heat an aqueous LiBr solution and release refrigerant through vaporization. The refrigerant feeds into a condenser to form a refrigerant condensate. The condensate feeds into an evaporator, which throttles the refrigerant and causes flash vaporization, resulting in cooling discharged into a load. The refrigerant from the evaporator feeds into an absorber containing a weak LiBr-water mixture from the generator to facilitate absorption of the refrigerant. A pump feeds the resultant aqueous LiBr solution back to the generator for another cycle. The hybrid storage includes a combination of heat storage tank, refrigerant storage tank, and/or a cold water tank coupled to the generator, condenser, and the evaporator to supplement driving or additional cooling during nighttime for continuous daily operation.

摘要： A cooling system includes a cooling circuit having an evaporator, a condenser, a compressor, an expansion device, a liquid pump, and a receiver/surge tank coupled between the condenser and the liquid pump. The cooling system has a direct expansion mode and a pumped refrigerant economizer mode. When the cooling system switches from the direct expansion mode to the pumped refrigerant economizer mode, refrigerant is flushed from the refrigerant/surge tank so that the cooling circuit is overcharged when it begins operating in the pumped refrigerant economizer mode.

摘要： A system and method for controlling the temperature of a process tool uses the vaporizable characteristic of a refrigerant that is provided in direct heat exchange relation with the process tool. Pressurized refrigerant is provided as both condensed liquid and in gaseous state. The condensed liquid is expanded to a vaporous mix, and the gaseous refrigerant is added to reach a target temperature determined by its pressure. Temperature corrections can thus be made very rapidly by gas pressure adjustments. The process tool and the operating parameters will usually require that the returning refrigerant be conditioned and processed for compatibility with the compressor and other units, so that cycling can be continuous regardless of thermal demands and changes.

摘要： A method and apparatus for improving refrigeration and air conditioning efficiency for use with a heat exchange system having a compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, and circulating refrigerant. The apparatus includes a liquid refrigerant containing vessel having a refrigerant entrance and a refrigerant exit with the vessel positioned in the heat exchange system between the condenser and the evaporator, and means for creating a turbulent flow of liquefied refrigerant. The apparatus further preferably includes a refrigerant bypass path to sub-cool a portion of the refrigerant within the vessel; a disk positioned at the liquid refrigerant entrance to develop a low pressure area on the back side and create a turbulent flow of refrigerant entering the vessel; and a refrigerant valve incorporated into the refrigerant path downstream of the expansion valve and before the coil which develops a vortex that continues through the refrigerant coil.
