摘要： An air conditioner is provided, in which some of a plurality of outdoor heat exchangers implement a defrosting operation and others implement a heating operation. The air conditioner includes a compressor to compress refrigerant, a hot gas pipe to which a part of the refrigerant compressed in the compressor is moved, a 4-way valve to which the remaining refrigerant compressed in the compressor is moved, an indoor heat exchanger in which the refrigerant, having passed through the 4-way valve, undergoes heat exchange with indoor air, and a plurality of outdoor heat exchangers, some of which implement a heating operation as the heat-exchanged refrigerant from the indoor heat exchanger is moved therethrough while others implement a defrosting operation as the refrigerant having passed through the hot gas pipe is moved therethrough.

The air conditioner includes an indoor unit having a first heat exchanger, an outdoor unit having a compressor and a second heat exchanger, a refrigerant cycle configured to form a refrigerant circulation path between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, a flow path switch configured to switch a flow of a refrigerant in the refrigerant cycle, and a controller configured to control the flow path switch to allow one part of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor to flow into an inlet of the compressor and the other part of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor to flow into at least one of the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger.

摘要： An air conditioner including a hot gas line for receiving a portion of refrigerant compressed in a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor expansion device for expanding the refrigerant having exchanged heat in the indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor heat exchanger functioning as a condenser in a cooling mode while functioning as an evaporator in a heating mode, and a 4-way valve for receiving a remaining portion of the compressed refrigerant, to guide the refrigerant emerging from the compressor to the outdoor heat exchanger in the cooling mode and to the indoor heat exchanger in the heating mode. The outdoor heat exchanger includes a main heat exchanger section functioning as a condenser in the cooling mode while functioning as an evaporator in the heating mode, and an auxiliary heat exchanger for receiving the refrigerant from the hot gas line in a frosting prevention mode.

摘要： An automotive heater and air conditioner in the form of a closed circuit reversible heat pump in which one internal heat exchanger accommodates both heating and cooling, selectively, and only a single set of ducts is required. Supplemental energy is provided in the system by using external heat exchanger means in close exchange proximity to and served by the waste heat of the automotive engine. The single exchanger selectively functions as evaporator and condenser. A reversible expansion valve functions between the external and inboard exchangers permitting selected conversion of the exchangers from a condenser to an evaporator function. Valving around the compressor permits selected directional control over refrigerant flow. The compressor can be selectively disconnected to turn off the heat pump. Air controllably ducted through, over and around the inboard exchanger is circulated into the passenger compartment to cool the occupants, to warm the occupants, and to defrost the windshield.
