    • The invention is to reduce the risk of damage to heat transfer pipes of a high-temperature heat collection device. A solar heat collection system is provided with a low-temperature heat collection device (1) which heats supplied water by use of sunlight heat to thereby generate steam; a steam-water separation device (4) which separates a water-steam two-phase fluid generated by the low-temperature heat collection device into water and steam; a high-temperature heat collection device (5) which heats the steam separated by the steam-water separation device by use of heat of sunlight which is reflected by a plurality of heliostats (8) to thereby generate superheated steam; and a heliostat control device (13) which controls angles of the plurality of heliostats so that metal temperature of the high-temperature heat collection device cannot be higher than a threshold temperature which is set in order to prevent overshoot of steam temperature at an outlet of the high-temperature heat collection device.

    • A deformable slat system for a building construction has one or more deformable slats (1). At least one of the aforementioned slats (1) has two slat parts (Ia, Ib) which are joined together in such a way that they are hingeable about a hinge line (2). This slat (1) is bendable and/or twistable in each first position where the slat parts (Ia, Ib) are hinged at a straight angle or a zero angle with respect to one another and is rigidified in each second position where the slat parts (Ia, Ib) are hinged at an angle differing from the straight angle or zero angle with respect to one another. The slat system includes means (13a, 13b, 19a, 19b, 14, 15, 16) for bringing the aforementioned slat (1) selectively into a first or a second position, and for bringing a slat (1), which has been brought into a first position, into a bent and/or twisted position. Furthermore, a slat (1) is provided for a slat system of this type, and also a building construction is provided with a slat system of this type.

    • A device includes an enclosure mounted to an end portion of a photovoltaic panel and has an interior, an opening, an inclined ramp within the interior, a door pivotally disposed at the opening, and a latch mechanism. The door is on a panel surface in an open position, and blocks the opening in a closed position. The latch mechanism latches the door closed and releases the door to the open position. A flexible material blocks light from reaching panel photovoltaic cells and includes a first end coupled to the inclined ramp within the enclosure and an opposite second end coupled to a rod. The flexible material is rolled up about the rod and rests on the inclined ramp. The door's closed position blocks deployment of the material. In the open position, the material rolls down the inclined ramp and covers the panel surface. The door is automatically or manually deployed.
