    • A Z-closure member for raised seam roofs is formed through bending techniques into a shape having a ventilated central vertical member, an upper mounting flange having a return upper retainer member terminating rearwardly of the central member, and a lower flange extending from said central member and terminating rearwardly thereof to define a cavity for the insertion of a filter against the central member. A plurality of filter retention devices are disclosed for restraining movement of the filter, including adhesive placed on said central opening, an upper tab integrally formed with said upper retainer member and extending downwardly therefrom, a flexible locking tab formed as a return from said lower flange and terminating at said cavity, and a raised retention dimple formed in the lower flange adjacent the cavity. An optional rearwardly and upwardly extending deflector member extends from said lower flange to deflect rain passing through the filter.

    • A radon exhaust system comprising a cylindrical shaped vent housing, diagnostic filter fan housing, inline fan with redirecting vanes, ice filter, observation windows, access opening and closure cap, air flow indicators, water gutter, drain spout and an enlarged elliptical bulge area for additional air passage through the fan housing. The inline fan, located within the elliptical bulge, pumps radon laced air into redirecting vanes, which directs same air through exhaust side and out through expanded exhaust openings of the vent housing. Additionally, redirecting vanes protect the fan from falling ice which may be formed on the ice filter located above the fan. Water is prevented from entering the fan by a water gutter and drain. Observation windows allow visual interior monitoring without entering the fan housing. An access opening with closure cap allows interior maintenance, testing and off venting. These embodiments combine to protect radon systems from damage.

    • A wall ventilation screen to be used in exterior walls of buildings or vehicles for protecting against rain water and other elements while simultaneously enabling air flow. The screen includes a plurality of air passages that enable air flow from one side of the screen to the other but preferably without linear communication between both sides through the air passages. The air passages present an upwardly traveling trajectory from an exterior or exposed space to a protected space, preferably with lateral changes of direction as well. Therefore rain water that comes directly from precipitation or splashing from an adjacent surface cannot reach a protected space. The geometry of the air passages provides protection against other environmental or man made elements.
