    • An illumination device that is operable while being transported and that can be placed, or is placed, in an object that can be opened and closed again. The illumination device comprises a first light source, an electric energy storage device, and a switch device that comprises a control unit including a sensor unit with which a first switching unit is transferable from an open switching state into a closed switching state. The first light source is suppliable with electric power from the electric energy storage device when a first sensor is touched and/or when said first sensor detects a motion. The sensor unit comprises a second sensor that at least detects if the object is open or closed. A second switching unit is transferable from an open switching state into a closed switching state in which the first light source and/or a second light source is/are supplied with electric power.

    • The present disclosure provides a mirror device with illumination comprising a transparent conductive substrate, an isolation layer, a mirror layer and a light emitting diode (LED) layer. The isolation layer, formed on a surface of the transparent conductive substrate, divides the surface of the transparent conductive substrate into at least one first region and at least one second region. The mirror layer formed on the transparent conductive substrate within the at least one first region, while the LED layer is formed on the transparent conductive substrate within the at least one second region, wherein the mirror layer and the LED layer are electrically isolated from each other. In another embodiment, the present disclosure further provides a mirror box having the mirror device with illumination disposed therein so that the mirror device can be easily carried and kept in the pocket, or purse of user.

    • The invention relates to a mirror for personal use, with a lighting system for illuminating at least part of a person (9) being situated in front of the mirror. According to the invention, a position detector for detecting the position of the person (9) in front of the mirror is provided. Further, the lighting system comprises multiple lighting elements which can be actuated independently from each other in dependence of the signal of the position detector. It is especially preferred that the mirror is comprised of an array (8) of OLEDs (1) which can be selectively actuated to function as a mirror element or as a lighting element, respectively, in dependence of the position of the person (9) in front of the mirror. Further, it is preferred that these OLEDs (1) also act as capacitive proximity sensors for the position detector. Thus, a versatile mirror with a good mirror image without blinding is provided.

    • A vanity lighting system for concealing a lighting apparatus when a pivotally mounted cover is closed and positioning the lighting apparatus through movement of the cover as it is opened. Additionally, the vanity lighting apparatus comprises a first support assembly including at least two pivotal points operably coupled with the cover and the lamp and a second support assembly including at least one pivotable point operably coupled with the housing and the lamp, wherein the first and second support assemblies provide movement of the lamp in response to the movement of the cover. An activation means is provided for activating and deactivating the illumination lamp in response to the movement of the cover.
