    • A tubing interface having an elongated tube, an elastomeric ferrule and a support ring device disposed around the ferrule. The ferrule includes a bore which is sized for receipt of the tube. The tubing interface further includes a cap member having an exterior surface, an opposed interior surface, and a tube receiving passage extending therethrough. The receiving passage is formed and dimensioned for axial sliding receipt of the tube member therethrough. The cap member further includes a cup-shaped receiving recess extending proximally from the interior surface, and is formed and dimensioned for axial receipt of the proximal end of the ferrule body member and the support ring. When the cap member is mounted to a valve apparatus, the support ring and the elastomeric ferrule device compressively cooperate with the cup-shaped recess to form a fluid-tight seal between the tube port and a communication port of the valve apparatus.

    • A connector assembly for creating a plastic tube joint in a length of plastic tubing having a distal end, a proximal end and a hollow lumen includes forming a flare in the tube proximate the proximal end thereof by means of a flared ferrule disposed in the lumen and defining a void between the flare and the proximal end of the tubing, the void being defined between the ferrule and a collet, the tubing contracting into the void, and forming a neck between the ferrule and the collet proximate the ferrule flare, the neck substantially permanently capturing the tubing contracted into the void; and substantially permanently bonding the collet to a connector body. A connector assembly for simultaneously forming a plastic tube joint in a pair of plastic tubes is further included as is a method for simultaneously forming a plastic tube joint in a pair of plastic tubes.

    • A plastic pipe seal for dual wall plastic pipe includes a plastic single piece or multi-piece fitting formed of rigid plastic sheet. At each inlet to the fitting, two formed grooves are radial to the line of flow through the fitting. The groove closest to the fitting inlet mates with a corresponding groove on the pipe, which groove receives a mechanical retainer. A second radial groove spaced from the retaining groove holds a gasket sealing device which provides a seal between the inside of the fitting and the outside diameter of the pipe. The retainer can be an extruded or molded plastic or metal spring cut to appropriate size, or a dual durometer structure, which allows for compression to a solid retainer.

    • Thermoplastic multi-walled pipe which has at least two tubular members different in inside diameter and concentrically arranged, these tubular members being spaced and supported by a plurality of ribs so as to provide hollow portions therebetween. The bond strength between the inner end surface of the rib and the tubular member supported thereby is less than that between the outer end surface of the rib and the tubular member supported thereby, so the exposure of the inner tubular member is easily achieved by means of an external force. After exposing the inner tubular member these multi-walled pipes are conveniently connected together by using a joint composed of a tubular part having the same inside diameter as the inner tubular member of the multi-walled pipe and a flange provided at one end of the tubular part concentrically therewith and having the same outside diameter as the multi-walled pipe, and in addition the hollow portion of the thermoplastic multi-walled pipe is kept sealed by the action of the flange.
