摘要： A garden hose has an inner tube for conveying water at domestic water pressure from a first coupler disposed at a first end of the inner tube to a second coupler disposed at a second end of the inner tube, the inner tube being waterproof and flexible, the first coupler adapted to threadedly connect to a conventional water faucet and the second coupler adapted to threadedly connect to a conventional garden appliance. The hose has a metal sheath disposed over the inner tube and extending from the first coupler to the second coupler, the flexible metal sheath having a first shoulder near the first coupler and a second shoulder near the second coupler, the metal sheath being flexible, and a fabric sheath disposed over the metal sheath and fixed to the metal sheath by a first constricting band disposed at the first shoulder and a second constricting band disposed at the second shoulder.

摘要： A hose fitting and a method of manufacturing includes a main fitting body and an outer sleeve that surrounds the main fitting body. An axially extending nipple is formed on the main fitting body and a crimped region is defined by the main fitting body and the outer sleeve being crimped toward each other. A tube member is radially interposed between the main fitting body and the outer sleeve, and a low temperature sealing region is defined by the tube member being compressed over a grooved portion of the nipple. An elastomeric seal member is radially interposed between the main fitting body and the tube member, and a high temperature sealing region is defined by the tube member being compressed over the seal member. The crimped region, the low temperature sealing region, and the high temperature sealing region are sequentially arranged in an axial direction.

摘要： A retractable pipe structure may include an inner tube, an outer tube, two connectors and two locking rings. In one embodiment, the inner tube is cover by the outer tube and the connectors are disposed at both ends of the inner tube and connecting portions are inserted into both ends of the inner tube and the tightening unit is used to tighten and secure each end. When the inner tube along with the outer tube are connecting with the connecting portion of the connector and the tightening unit is disposed outside the outer tube, the restricting ring is disposed outside the outer tube and used to cover the connecting portion along with the locking ring. When a restricting ring is squeezed by the locking ring, an engaging unit is disposed outside the restricting ring to prevent the inner tube and outer tube from directly contacting with the engaging unit.

Screws enable the stepped part to be brought closer to and be fixed on the end-fitting. The stepped part and the deformable elements constitute three separate elements, thereby facilitating mounting and providing a better control of tightness.

摘要： A quick connect coupling assembly for interconnecting a tubular component to a mounting component is provided. The coupling assembly includes a retainer adapted to be coupled to the mounting component and having a pair of resiliently cantilevered snap arms. A housing for coupling with the mounting component has an inner cam surface and is configured to abut the mounting component. The snap arms each include a first deflector ramp that is aligned in proximity to the inner cam surface and a second deflector ramp adapted to releaseably engage a back surface of the mounting component. A push/pull feature permits the retainer to be pushed and causes the first deflector ramps to engage the inner cam surface and cause the snap arms to deflect inwardly and release the second deflector ramp from engagement with the back surface and allow the coupling assembly to be pulled out of the mounting component.

摘要： A flex-duct end connector for connecting flex-ducting to fittings includes a cylindrical pipe and a pair of clamps configured to be mounted on the outside of the pipe. The outer surface of the pipe and the inner surfaces of the clamps may be provided with an adhesive to improve the connection. Outer wraps attached to the outside of the pipe include an adhesive side and a non-adhesive side. One end of the pipe may be tapered and the other end may include a rubberized coating. To connect the flex-ducting to the fitting, the insulation and outer jacket of the flex-duct is folded back from the liner. The liner slides over one end of the pipe. Adhesive may be provided on the pipe to provide a more secure fit. The clamps, which may also be provided with adhesive, are applied to the liner and pipe. The edges of the clamps overlap so that a fastener may be inserted through the clamps, the liner and the pipe. The insulation and outer jacket are then pulled over the clamps, and the outer wraps are deployed so that the adhesive side of each is applied to the outer jacket. The other end of the flex-duct end connector is inserted in the fitting. Zip ties or the like may be used at various points of the connecting process.

摘要： A method of securing an end fitting (10) to an end of a hose (12) having an outer braid (12a) and a plastic liner (12b) is disclosed, the method including the step of: i) providing a hollow end fitting (10) for a hose (12), the end fitting (10) having a spigot (10a) and a sealing face; ii) inserting the spigot (10a) of the end fitting (10) between the braid and the liner(12b) and bring the liner end through said hollow end fitting (10) and flaring out the liner end to form a plastic sealing face; iii) processing the assembly so formed in such a manner as to cause the flared liner end to form a shape which includes a bead (26) on the liner surface and which has its inside edge (28) squared off. The bead (26) is preferably concentric and allows the rubber seal previously used to be dispensed with. The end fitting (10) preferably comprises a PTFE lined end fitting, in which the PTFE hose liner (12b) is passed through the bore of the end fitting (10), and is then flared out. A plastic lined hose (12) is also disclosed having secured to an end thereof a hollow end fitting (10) having a spigot (10a) and a sealing face (10b), wherein the spigot (10a) is located between the braid (12a) and the liner(12b), and the liner end passes through the end fitting (10) and is flared out to form a plastic sealing face overlying the sealing face (10b) of the end fitting (10) to form a shape which includes a bead (26) on the liner surface and which has its inside edge (28) squared off.
