摘要： A seal assembly includes a first and second machine element, a seal and a support ring. The support ring has a first side edge facing a high-pressure side which is partially convexly curved, formed obliquely or is partially formed at an acute angle relative to a movement axis of the two machine elements. The seal has a retaining portion and a primary sealing lip extending from the retaining portion on the high-pressure side and abuts in a dynamically sealing manner against a sealing surface of the second machine element. The primary sealing lip directly abuts and is supported over the majority of its longitudinal extent on the first side edge of the support ring on the low-pressure side. The retaining section of the seal is held clamped between the support ring and the first machine element and abuts the first machine element in a statically or indirectly statically sealing manner.

摘要： A seal assembly is for sealing between a shaft and a body rotatable about an axis extending through the shaft and includes an annular elastomeric sealing member disposeable within the body bore and coupleable with the shaft. The sealing member has a centerline coaxial with the shaft axis and a radially-outwardly extending, generally annular lip sealingly engageable with an inner circumferential surface of the bore or of a member disposed within the bore so as to define a seal interface. The sealing lip is configured to displace fluid within the sealing interface generally axially out of the interface when the hub rotates about the shaft. Preferably, the sealing member is coupled with an inner casing and disposed within an outer casing, the seal lip sealing against the outer casing inner surface, and a second sealing lip is coupled with the outer casing and seals against the inner casing outer surface.

The bearing bushing includes a sleeve for slidingly supporting at least one seal lip of the seal assembly, the sleeve has an axially inner region facing the rolling elements, and the axially inner region has a radially inner portion and a radially outer portion. The radially inner portion is axially offset from the radially outer portion towards the rolling elements by an offset amount.

摘要： A mechanical seal of the cartridge type for a cryogenic pump. A stationary subassembly attaches to a pump casing, the stationary subassembly running against the flat surface of a rotary subassembly to thereby provide a sealing face. The stationary subassembly defines an inner seal cavity and further comprises a gland and a packing plate attached to the gland, the packing plate having a front face and back face, wherein the back face is angled to be non-parallel with the front face such that ice and moisture from the cryogenic pump is directed away from the inner seal cavity. A shroud over the drive ring for sealing disposition against the shaft shields ice and moisture ingress into the inner seal cavity. Lock wire holes defined within the collar screw and drive collar allow a lock wire to prevent loosening of the collar screw to prevent sparking.
