    • A multi-stroke air cylinder providing a precisely directed and controlled stroke in the face of lateral, torsional and tilting loads on a tooling plate. The multi-stroke cylinder utilizes a plurality of mechanically linked pneumatic or hydraulic pistons having different stroke lengths that can be added together in any combination, allowing the user to select any stroke length up to a predetermined, total combined stroke length, in increments equal to the stroke length of the smallest cylinder. The multi-stroke cylinder includes a head assembly having a fluid inlet for introducing fluid to the cylinder at a first pressure. The cylinder also includes a first positioning system having a plurality of pistons capable of moving a piston rod away from the first positioning system, and a second positioning system located between the head assembly and the first positioning system. The second positioning system comprises a plurality of movable pistons for displacing the piston rod a preselected distance and at least one elongated fluid supply member secured to a respective one of the pistons of the second positioning system for introducing a fluid between adjacent pistons. When a plurality of fluid supply members are used in the second positioning system, they are concentrically arranged and are at least partially coextensive with one another.

    • This is a pneumatic actuator for a liquid delivery truck. The actuator can be added to an existing set stop valve without reconfiguring the piping. The same actuator can be used to upgrade several sizes of a rising stem valve. It provides the ability to open and close the valve as well as perform an adjustable low flow function. It works with existing relay logic from a cab mounted or meter mounted electronic preset. The actuator can be used with either an electric or pneumatic switch for setting the low flow position.

    • An indexing apparatus (10) having a pair of concentric cylinders (12, 14) with the outer concentric cylinder (12) being fixed against longitudinal movement and the inner cylinder (14) mounted for reciprocal movement relative to the fixed outer cylinder (12). A single ram piston (16) is mounted within the inner cylinder (14) and has a piston rod (18) connected to a member (29) for positioning at four predetermined positions. A shock absorber (24) is carried by the outer fixed cylinder (12) and engages stop plates or abutments (20, 28) carried by the inner cylinder (14) for activation of the shock absorber (24). A pair of guide rods (42) prevent rotational movement of inner cylinder (14) relative to the inner cylinder (12) and maintain the shock absorber (24) in axial alignment with the end abutments (20, 28). In one embodiment (FIGS. 9-11), guide rods (41A, 42A) have fluid passages (49A, 53A) in fluid communication with fixed ports (P5, P6) in the outer fixed cylinder (12A) for the supply of fluid to piston chambers (32A, 36A) in the reciprocable inner cylinder (14A).
