摘要： According to one embodiment, a radial fluid device comprises a cylinder block, a first plurality of pistons, a second plurality of pistons, a first cam, a second cam, and a coupling device. Each of the first plurality of pistons are slidably received within a different one of a first plurality of radially extending cylinders. Each of the second plurality of pistons are slidably received within a different one of a second plurality of radially extending cylinders. The first cam is disposed about the first plurality of radially extending cylinders. The second cam is disposed about the second plurality of radially extending cylinders. The coupling device is operable to couple the cylinder block to a cylinder block of a second radial fluid device.

摘要： A valveless, positive displacement metering pump is provided by the invention. Such a pump includes a housing, a working chamber within the housing, a piston within the working chamber, the piston including a duct defined by a portion of its outer surface, one or more inflow ports communicating with the working chamber, one or more outflow ports communicating with the working chamber, and a drive cylinder for simultaneously rotating the piston and causing it to move in back and forth strokes within the working chamber. The housing is rotatable with respect to the piston to adjust the timing of the fluid communication between the duct and the inflow and outflow ports, respectively. Such adjustments in timing allow the flow rate of the pump to be fine tuned, and allow each port to experience a partial suction as well as a partial discharge. A method for adjusting the flow rate of a valveless, positive displacement metering pump is also provided which includes adjusting the phases at which the piston duct communicates with each of the ports of the pump.

摘要： When a valve-controlled pump is to produce either vacuum or pressure at a pump outlet 9 as a function of its direction of rotation it is necessary that a 3/2-way valve be switched as a function of the direction of rotation of the motor of the pump. In accordance with the invention this is effected by a direction detection device on the motor (1) which is coupled with the motor for the control of the 3/2-way valve. The direction detection device is formed in the manner that the motor housing of the motor (1) is mounted for rotation and is provided at its end with a structural part (11) having a control kidney (10) which is movable over a control surface (7). Since the motor housing must take up the counter moment when the motor is rotating, the control kidney (10) shifts upon the starting of the motor (1) into one of its two end positions depending on the direction of rotation of the motor (1), thereby causing the pump outlet (9) to be connected alternatively to pressure or vacuum.

The second pump including a second piston assembly. Each piston assembly of the first and second pumps includes a cylinder and a piston slidably disposed in the cylinder. The shaft connects the first pump to the second pump and is configured to displace the pistons within the cylinders of the first and second piston assemblies. The fluid lines fluidly couple the first piston assembly with the second piston assembly to form paired piston assemblies. The first piston assembly is phase shifted from the second piston assembly.
