摘要： A throttle valve device includes a coil spring arranged in a body between a valve gear and a valve and having a spring end extending radially outward. A first guide covers an end of the coil spring and includes a first guide hook that contacts the spring end. A body hook in the body is capable of contacting a tip end part of the first guide hook. A valve gear hook in the valve gear is capable of contacting a base end part of the first guide hook. The first guide hook has a protrusion protruding toward the spring end between the tip end part and the base end part. The first guide hook is deformable by receiving the spring force at the protrusion as an effort while a fulcrum is at a contact between the first guide hook and the body hook or the valve gear hook.

The air control module controls a throttle valve based on a first desired torque when the throttle valve is in an operable state. The spark control module controls spark advance based on the first desired torque and a second desired torque when the throttle valve is in a fault state. The throttle valve is maintained in a predetermined fault position when in the fault state.

摘要： A valve freeze control apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a concentration sensor, a valve, a freeze control device, and a start determination unit. The concentration sensor is adapted to detect an alcohol concentration of fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine. The valve is provided in one of an intake passage and an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, wherein the valve controls flow of air that passes through the one of the intake and exhaust passages. The freeze control device is adapted to limit malfunction of the valve caused by freeze of water in exhaust gas, and the water has been attached to the valve. The start determination unit determines to start the freeze control device when the alcohol concentration detected by the concentration sensor is equal to or greater than a reference value.

An intermediate position limiting member is adapted to be engaged with a return spring when the valve is placed on a side of a predetermined intermediate position where a full close position of the valve is located. The intermediate position limiting member receives an intermediate reaction force from the return spring through engagement with the return spring, and the full close position limiting member receives a full close side engaging force from the valve gear. The full close side engaging force and the intermediate reaction force are generally directed in a predetermined direction.

摘要： An electronic throttle valve control system prevents rapid rotation of a throttle valve when the control system has a failure. A throttle valve controls the amount of intake air to an internal combustion engine, an electric motor drives the throttle valve, and a control section controls the electric motor. The throttle valve has an urging mechanism for urging the throttle valve in the closing direction. The control section shifts the electric motor to a regenerative mode when the control system has a failure to control the speed at which the throttle valve is rotated in the closing direction by the urging force of the urging mechanism. The throttle valve is therefore rotated slowly in the closing direction by the urging force of the urging mechanism and then held in a predetermined opening position.

摘要： A straddle type vehicle includes a protrusion which is displaced together with a throttle valve, a lever pulley which is displaced in response to the rotation of a throttle grip, a spring and a control device. The spring generates elastic force to return the protrusion to a first original position when the lever pulley is in a second original position. The spring maintains the lever pulley in the second original position by being elastically deformed until the protrusion reaches a predetermined position in which the protrusion is displaced from the first original position in such a direction that the throttle valve opens when the lever pulley is in the second original position. The control device opens the throttle valve by displacing the protrusion until the protrusion reaches the predetermined position in a gear shift change when the throttle grip is fully closed.
