    • Disclosed herein is a refrigerator capable of opening a first door with a small force using an auxiliary opening apparatus that decreases an opening force for opening the first door. A refrigerator includes a main body, a first door rotatably provided in the front of the main body and including an opening, a second door rotatably provided in front of the first door and configured to open or close the opening, a first handle coupled to a front surface of the first door and configured to open or close the first door, an auxiliary opening apparatus configured to separate the first door from the main body and decrease an opening force of the first door, a handle lever that is provided at the first handle and configured to operate the auxiliary opening apparatus, and a door cap coupled to an upper portion of the first door.

    • A door assembly having a multi-panel door connected to a casing that is inserted into a structure opening. The multi-panel door can be operated by a control assembly operatively coupled to the casing and the multi-panel door. The multi-panel door can be a bi-fold door having an upper panel and lower panel operatively coupled together. The upper panel can be pivotally coupled to the casing at one end and pivotally coupled to a portion of the lower panel at its other end. The control assembly can control movement of the door between an open position and a closed position.

    • A mine door system including a door frame to be installed in a mine passageway to define a generally rectangular doorway. A mine door is defined by a pair of generally rectangular door leafs which are hinged on the door frame at opposite sides of the doorway for swinging between an open position to permit passage through the doorway and a closed position in which the door leafs are generally coplanar and close the doorway. The door leafs are so dimensioned that there is a substantial vertical gap between the door leafs when they are closed to accommodate convergence of side walls of the passageway. A relatively wide vertical sealing flap is secured to one of the door leafs for overlapping a face of the other door leaf when the door is closed for covering the gap between the door leafs. A power mechanism for opening and closing the door leafs is operable to control the sequence in which the door leafs close so that the door leaf carrying the sealing flap closes after the other door leaf for ensuring that the sealing flap closes against the face of the other door leaf.

    • A window well cover jack that is disclosed. The window well cover jack has three arms: a base arm, a support arm and an actuator handle, all connected to aid in the lifting of a window well cover and allow egress. In one embodiment, the jack is lockable in a stowed position. It is also possible to add a spring assist to aid in the lifting of a window well cover. Ideally, the window well cover jack is also lockable in a deployed position to aid in holding an ajar window well cover so as to facilitate escape. A simple link, which is easily broken by emergency crews with the proper tools but secure against intruders without said tools, connects the window well cover jack to a window well cover.
