摘要： The present invention extends to methods for attaching a piece of glass to a piece of stone. In some aspects, specifically designed glass inlays are secured within a void in a piece of stone. The glass inlays can include colored glass letters, numbers, designs, etc. In some aspects, glass inlays and voids are specifically designed to match one another. Glass inlays can be affixed within the voids using an adhesive. Grout can be then be used to set the glass inlays in place. The result can be monument or marker that commemorates an event or person.

The temporary marker can be made at home by a user having basic computer and printing capabilities, without the need for commercial printing or design equipment. The temporary marker consists of a synthetic sheet of paper that can be fed through a home printer and mounted between two sheets of hard, transparent material. The two sheets of hard, transparent material attach to one another with the sheet of paper secured between. A stake is then added to the two sheets of transparent material so that the temporary marker can be secured into the ground. Also, computer software may be provided that allows for easy formatting and input of various texts and images to be printed onto the paper.

摘要： A method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface is provided. The method includes the steps of providing at least one opening in a face of the solid surface and inserting a plaque support into the at least one opening. The plaque support includes a body defining a passageway therethrough and having a first end and a second end. The first end has a flange portion. Further, at least one outer tab member extends radially outward toward the first end and at least one inner tab member extends radially inward toward the second end. The outer tab member engages the solid surface upon insertion of the plaque support into the at least one opening. The method and system further include providing the plaque with at least one installation fastener. The at least one installation fastener is inserted into the passageway of the plaque support, such that the at least one inner tab member engages the at least one installation fastener.
