    • A spreading apparatus is provided for spreading flowable materials such as adhesives and/or sealants on a surface such as a floor and/or a wall. The apparatus has a pad retainer for retaining a removable spreader pad and a reservoir chamber for flowable material pivotally attached to the pad retainer to permit pivoting of the reservoir chamber frontwards and backwards. The reservoir chamber has an adjustable gate through which the flowable material may exit. The gate is proximal the bottom of the reservoir chamber and complementary to the width of the pad retaining means to permit more uniform spreading of the flowable material. A handle is attached to and extends from the reservoir chamber. The handle may pivot from side to side on the reservoir chamber and may be hollow to house a cable associated with the means for opening the gate. A system is also provided involving the spreading apparatus together with a removable spreader pad and a container containing the flowable material. The container is housed in the reservoir chamber and cooperates with the gate to permit the flowable material to exit the container and the reservoir chamber when the gate is open. The spreader pad comprises an elongated resilient foam member sufficiently thick to fit within and frictionally engage the pad retainer, and sufficiently high to extend below the pad retainer so that the spreader pad rather than the pad retainer contacts the surface when the spreader pad is retained by the pad retainer.

    • A concrete finishing tool storage case is used to retain and transport a partially disassembled concrete finishing tool having a variously sized concrete float. A case includes a cover moveable into engagement with a base to define a closed position, and moveable away from the base to define an open position. The cover has a lower surface provided with a series of spaced apart, parallel downwardly facing grooves adapted to receive a concrete float connected to a concrete float adjusting device. An upper surface of the cover is formed with a cut-out adapted to receive the concrete float adjusting device connected to the concrete float. The base has a number of spaced apart barriers, adjacent pairs of barriers defining a set of channels adapted to frictionally receive a plurality of handle extensions collectively attached to the float adjusting device. Certain of the barriers are formed with pockets adapted to receive and support the concrete float connected to the concrete float adjusting device. The storage case, the concrete float, the concrete float adjusting device and the handle extensions are collectively included together in a kit which is useful at a concrete finishing work site.

    • A remotely controlled power float apparatus comprises a horizontally oriented platform supported on a pair of spaced apart, rotationally mounted, floats. The floats each provide a downwardly directed flat surface for moving in contact with, and thereby smoothing, a non-hardened concrete surface. Mounted on the platform is a fan, rotationally adapted for directing a horizontal thrust vector in a variably selectable direction for moving and steering the apparatus over the concrete surface. The floats are adapted for being tilted thereby enabling a variable contact area between the floats and the concrete surface.
