摘要： An apparatus for use in harvesting airborne moisture includes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a woven mesh, supported by the UAV, for collecting liquid droplets upon contact with a fog bank, a camera, a processor, a non-transitory, tangible computer readable memory storing software instructions executable by the processor, a fog identification engine, and a flight controller on board the UAV. The fog identification engine is executable on the processor according to the software instructions and is configurable to capture a digital image via the camera, detect an absence of features in the digital image, and identify a fog bank as a function of the absence of features in the digital image. The flight controller directs the UAV to enter a fog bank identified by the fog identification engine.

摘要： Systems and methods related to the collection of a species from a gas stream are generally provided. The systems and methods described herein may allow for collection of a species such as a fluid (e.g., water) with a relatively high collection efficiency. Such systems and methods may be useful in various applications including, for example, fog collection. In some embodiments, the systems and methods enhance water collection from airborne to produce usable water. Advantageously, the methods described herein may, in some cases, incorporate ions into the gas stream such that the species present in the gas stream follows electric field lines and/or are attracted to a grounded (or charged) collector. Advantageously, the systems and methods described herein may suppress the adverse effects of natural conditions such as the velocity and direction of the wind.

摘要： An atmospheric water generation system, including a casing into which an air treatment unit and a chiller unit are located, the air treatment unit being provided with a first air inlet for ambient air and a first air outlet, the chiller unit being provided with a second air inlet and a second air outlet, wherein a respectively closing member is directly associated to each first and second air inlet and outlet. The system thus can additionally be used as an air conditioning unit, when the cooled and demoistured air from the air treatment unit is directed to a closed work space. The system may additionally include a water treatment unit and a power generating unit for stand alone purposes.

摘要： Carbon nanotube (CNT) immobilized membranes for harvesting pure water from air include CNTs incorporated into a layer of super-absorbing polymer. The super-absorbing polymer may be cast over a porous substrate. The super-absorbing polymer binds strongly to water and generates water clusters while the CNTs are operable to interrupt the specific water-polymer and water-water interactions to generate more free water which permeates more easily through the membrane. Methods of forming the CNT immobilized membranes are provided. The CNT immobilized membranes disclosed herein exhibit improved water vapor extraction efficiency, water vapor removal and mass transfer coefficient.

摘要： A controller may control a system for extracting liquid water from air comprising a thermal unit, a primary desiccant wheel, and a regeneration fluid path. The controller may comprise a plurality of sensors, a plurality of motors, and a microcontroller coupled to the plurality of sensors and the plurality of motors. The microcontroller may be configured to determine a water extraction efficiency based on at least one signal received from at least one of the plurality of sensors and maximize the water extraction efficiency by adjusting a speed of at least one of the plurality of motors in response to the determined water extraction efficiency. The water extraction efficiency may be a value obtained by multiplying a regeneration fluid flow rate within the regeneration fluid path by an absolute humidity of air on a side of the primary desiccant wheel opposite a side in communication with the thermal unit.

摘要： Applicant discloses a new viewpoint and its application for the freshwater generation here: Air temperature exchanges between the inside and outside of the deserts always play an important role in the generation of freshwater in desert environment. Because this procedure is continually happening in days and nights, and the desert area is large in the world, so, the amount of the water production by this way is extent to which one could be imagined. According the viewpoint disclosed here, it will bring big benefits to take over the shortage water plight and for the development of the desert. According this doctrine, the easiest way to collect the water from the desert is just setting an impermeable layer under the dune: the fresh water should flow out. By use of artificial stacked large amount sands can also obtain the freshwater in anywhere which the changes of the temperature are big.

Application includes extraction of water from the atmosphere, air or any other gas for the purpose of, for example, drinking and agriculture, quick analysis of pollutants in the lower and upper atmosphere, to study rain formation in confined space, and evaprotranspiration process in nature.

摘要： A dialysis system (e.g., a hemodialysis (HD) system) can be designed to operate in alternative environments, such as disaster relief settings or underdeveloped regions. The dialysis system can include a solar panel for generating electricity to power the dialysis machine and an atmospheric water generator for extracting water from ambient air. The extracted water can be used to generate dialysate and saline on-site. One or more of the components of the dialysis machine can be discrete components that are configured to facilitate fast shipping and simple on-site assembly (e.g., at a remote location). In some implementations, the discrete components may be configured to be attached to an existing dialysis system (e.g., a dialysis system designed for operation in a traditional environment) to permit the dialysis system to operate in an alternative environment.

The generators may be placed in network communication with other such generators to exchange water availability information therewith, or may communicate with a central server element by way of LAN, Internet, cell tower, peer-to-peer mesh or satellite. Information is conveyed to the user regarding the amount of water they consume from the water generators, and their resulting positive impact on the environment. Water dispensing data may be shared on the users' social media accounts, or used as inputs for competitions or games in order to further engage the user. User authentication may be accomplished by way of biometrics or an RFID/NFC tag embedded in the user's water vessel.

摘要： The vertical pipe structure for water and energy harvesting is an artificial structure formed from concentric sets or rings of pipes having sufficient height such that atmospheric water vapor will condense on upper ends thereof. Water vapor condensing on external faces of the pipes flows downward, under the force of gravity, for collection in at least one reservoir. Water vapor condensing on internal faces of the pipes also flows downward within the concentric sets or rings of pipes for collection in an underground chamber. At least one hydrodynamic generator or the like is provided on the exterior of the artificial structure, such that water flowing thereover may be used for the generation of power.
