    • Drill cuttings obtained from oil and gas wells contain contaminants such as heavy metals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Such contaminants complicate the disposal of the drill cuttings. The drill cuttings can be reused in load bearing applications such as road subgrades and drill site pads by combining the drill cuttings with soil and a soil stabilizer. The soil stabilizer includes sulfuric acid and citrus stripper oil. Once the soil stabilizer is added to the soil-cuttings mixture, the mixture is compacted to reduce the voids. The soil stabilizer liquefies minerals in the soil-cuttings mixture which liquids fill in any remaining voids. The result is a consolidated treated soil that greatly reduces the leaching of the contaminants therefrom.

    • The invention relates to a drilling device for producing a drilling column in the soil comprising a mast, a drill drive arranged on a carriage, which is movably supported along the mast, a drilling tube which can be driven in a rotating manner by the drill drive and is movable along the mast in order to produce a drill hole, and a tube hopper that is connected to the drilling tube and comprises a storage space for filling material to fill the drill hole during the extraction of the drilling tube. In accordance with the invention provision is made for the tube hopper to be arranged in the drilling direction above the drill drive and to be connected to the drilling tube. The invention further relates to a method for producing a drilling column in the soil.

    • A soil structure tool for building structures in soil, placing structures in soil, or both, may improve the load bearing capability for soil by using multiple devices as part of a single tool. The soil structure tool may be operated to place a first device in a working position while placing the remaining device or devices in a non-working position so the first device in the working position may be used without interference from the remaining tools.
