摘要： This disclosure relates to street sweepers and interchangeable conveyor modules for use with street sweepers that are interchangeable. A first conveyor module is provided that is mountable to the conveyor support structure of the vehicle wherein the conveyor is configured to transport debris from the broom assembly to the hopper on a continuous belt having paddles. A second conveyor module is also provided that is mountable to the vehicle structure wherein the second conveyor is a squeegee type conveyor. The first conveyor module and the second conveyor module are interchangeable on the street sweeping vehicle. Because the size envelope and attachment points and mechanisms are common, the two modules can be interchanged at will.

The invention relates to street sweeper having a vacuum system for moving air through a portion thereof and having a gutter broom assembly. The gutter broom assembly includes housing, a gutter broom being movable between an operational orientation and a transport orientation relative to the housing, and a skirt assembly attached to the housing. A sweeping chamber is defined within the housing and the skirt assembly which substantially encloses the gutter broom. A vacuum connection between the sweeping chamber and the vacuum system is provided for removing dust within the sweeping chamber when the gutter broom frame is in its operational orientation.

摘要： A device for removing sand, solid particulate wastes and the like from a surface being cleaned, comprising spade-shaped members driven in a closed rotatory circuit cooperating with a brush in synchronized sweeping motion. In a first embodiment, a rotatory belt mounting a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart spade-shaped collector elements cooperates to receive material swept by a single brush in pendulum arcuate motion and then elevates the waste for deposit into a storage container for later disposal. In a second embodiment, the sweeping action is provided by the reciprocating motion of a first rotational belt mounting a plurality of transverse, circumferentlally spaced-apart rows of brushes and the receiving and elevating is done by a second belt mounting an array of circumferentially spaced-apart spade-shaped collector elements. The first belt and the second belt are driven in counter rotational senses in pre-defined circuits while the first belt is translocated in synchronized reciprocating motion towards and away from the second belt. A stored program device means is provided for synchronizing and controlling both the spade-shaped collector elements and the brushes for removing sand and debris off roadways and the like.
