    • A manipulator assembly for attachment to a bucket of a construction vehicle is disclosed. The manipulator assembly includes a universal attachment apparatus for attaching a utility tool to the bucket. The universal attachment apparatus includes a housing adapted to support the utility tool, at least one mounting bracket connected to the housing, and at least one mounting arm having a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the mounting bracket. The mounting arms further include feet positioned adjacent the quick-release connector for allowing the utility tool to pivot relative to the bucket. A quick-release connector is mounted to the second end of the mounting arm for selectively securing the housing to the bucket. A biasing device is disposed on the quick-release connector for continuously urging the quick-release connector into engagement with the bucket. Therefore, the bucket remains free of the quick-release connector and the biasing device when the utility tool is removed from the bucket.

    • Surface treatment apparatus having impact elements for impacting a surface to be treated, a brush element for brushing the surface, a drive device for operating the impact element and the brush elements, and a carriage device enabling the surface treatment apparatus to be moved across the surface to be treated. The brush elements include a composite rotary brush assembly having circumferentially spaced rows of bristles mounted on a rotatable shaft in alternate circumferential sequence with the impact elements and further rotary assembly mounted on a contra-rotation relative to the composite rotary brush assembly and/or the impact elements, each rotatable so their bristles move upwardly intermediate the respective shafts. The impact elements include a plurality of longitudinal spaced hammers each pivotable about an axis substantially parallel to the axis of the rotatable shaft. The surface treatment apparatus may also include height adjustment elements for adjusting the engagement between the impact elements and the brush elements with a surface to be treated, and may further include an induction device for inducting a flow of brushed particulate material to a discharge through an upstanding duct. In use, brushed particulate material is lifted above the surface and separated from the surface based on the density of the brushed particulate material.

    • Brushing apparatus including a motor vehicle provided with a tool-holder member, a fast-locking member pivoted to the tool-holder member, a container removably mounted on the fast-locking member and having an opening into which material to be collected is brushed during a brushing operation, and from which it is discharged by tilting the container. A power operated, rotatable brush pivotally mounted on the container swingable relative thereto about a horizontal axis under the action of gravity of hydraulic jack. The powered brush is so supported by the container as to lie adjacent to the container opening during brushing and to expose the opening when emptying the container. The brushing implement and container may be pivotally located about a vertical axis to place the brush at an angle to the vehicle movement. The brush is rotatable in either direction to sweep material from a surface or into the container.

    • A mechanical sweeper attached to a carrier vehicle comprises a sweeping assembly (2) which is attached laterally to the frame of a carrier vehicle (1) between the front and rear wheels. The sweeping assembly is attached as one unit to a carrier frame (26) which is movably connected to the vehicle in order to shift the sweeping assembly (2) into a position outside the lateral profile outline of the vehicle (1). In the case of a mechanical sweeper having an interchangeable body (6), which, on a body frame (8), includes devices for picking up and storing the dirt and is arranged as a whole above the rear wheels (4) of the carrier vehicle (1), the carrier frame (26) is fastened to the body frame (8) of the interchangeable body (6) so that it can be pulled out laterally. The lateral pulling out movement is facilitated by a supporting device which comprises a leg (11) fastened to the carrier frame (26), this leg being supported on the ground (9) by means of a support roller (12), on the side of the sweeping assembly (2) opposite the vehicle.
