    • An improved method of controlling build-up of adhesive coating on a Yankee drying cylinder preferably includes intermittently: (a) increasing the add-on rate of resinous adhesive to the drying cylinder substantially above the steady-state add-on rate; (b) segregating the absorbent sheet product produced while the add-on rate of resinous adhesive to the drying cylinder is elevated above the steady-state add-on rate from absorbent sheet product accumulated during steady-state operation; and (c) while the add-on rate of resinous adhesive to the drying cylinder is increased above the steady-state add-on rate, stripping at least a portion of the adhesive coating from the drying cylinder with a cleaning doctor.

    • The present invention relates to a doctor blade comprising: a body having a thickness, a sharp leading side, a trailing side, and working end comprising a bevel surface, wherein the bevel surface is defined by a leading edge and a trailing edge, and wherein the Ra of the bevel surface is from about 1 μ-in to about 7 μ-in. The present invention further relates to a method of removing a material from a surface of a piece of equipment, the method comprising providing a material on the surface of the piece of equipment; providing a doctor blade adjacent to the surface of the equipment, the creping blade having a working end including a leading edge, which is disposed closest to the surface of the equipment, a trailing edge disposed farthest from the surface of the equipment and a bevel surface disposed therebetween; passing the surface of the equipment past the doctor blade or the doctor blade past the surface of the equipment such that the material impacts the doctor blade and at least a portion of the material is removed from the surface of the piece of equipment; and passing the removed material over the bevel surface of the doctor blade wherein the Ra of the bevel surface is from about 1 to about 7 μ-in.

    • The invention relates to a system for transporting a fibre web (47) through a dry end of a fibre web processing machine from a drying section (1) to a reeling section (2) of the machine. According to the invention, the system comprises one or a plurality of groups of air modules, wherein each group of air modules is arranged for supplying and evacuating air from a predetermined, localized zone along the web run of the dry end, and wherein each group of air modules comprises at least one air supply module (9) being arranged for supplying air to the localized zone; and at least one air exhaust module (10) being arranged for evacuating air from the localized zone, wherein the air flow-rate of said at least one air supply module is balanced by the air flow-rate of said at least one air exhaust module such that dust-laden air is prevented from escaping the localized zone by other means than through said at least one air exhaust module.
